TheLightWithin
Hey everyone, Just looking to get some feedback as to where are the best places to park and tailgate this Sunday. I will be celebrating my 28th in prime fashion, heading to the game to watch the Bengals make Kerry Collins have his own existential epiphany. Me and the lady, need a place to park. Criteria: 1. Reasonable pricing 2. Fun, but not the youngest crowd 3. Easy access, and ability to leave. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. One.
BengalBacker
This is where I usually park. It's $20 though. It's on Mehring Way.
|Bunghole|
I'll second Backer's recommendation. I met up with him for a preseason game, and the lot he's referring to is really easy to find, it's large enough, and it's close enough for a short walk to/from the stadium. The company sucks, though. AmishBengalFan
I'm too damn cheap to pay $20 to park when that money could be better used on a couple of cold ones inside the stadium. I park in Covington. There are a TON of $5 lots, and you can either walk or pay $1.25 (each way) to ride the TANK (Transit Authority of No. Ky.) bus to PBS. Just look at the route map (link below) and find one of the round Southbank Shuttle signs - your big blue limo will slide up within minutes. The PBS-side drop is between Lots C & D near the museum. TANK Southbank Shuttle: http://www.tankbus.org/RoutesSchedules/Sou...69/Default.aspx Route Map (PDF): http://www.tankbus.org/Portals/0/Documents...Map_D4Aug08.pdf The ride back to Covington is longer, due to traffic. One of the more convenient places to park is the transit center parking lot ($5)... all of the TANK busses stop there, and on your ride back it's the first stop IIRC. There are also a number of mini-tailgate lots scattered around town, but those tend to fill up quickly. If you're planning to only go to the game, or if you tailgate with friends in Lots A-E, the shuttle is an option you should consider. The shuttle also runs between PBS and Newport, but I don't have any first-hand experience with that route. There are other busses the run from the KY side as well, including Willies.
