Palmer watched the Bengals offense score just one touchdown with backup Ryan Fitzpatrick starting for the second time in three games. “It’s very frustrating,” said Palmer, who had started 51 games in a row before sitting in Week 4 against the Browns. “I enjoy practice. Witness our attempts at passing. If it was just the RB then our passing game would have all day to pick them apart. As it is we get about a blink. But I'll make a couple of points. Carson is smart to get an outside opinion, no matter what team he plays for. We don't talk about injuries, which often makes it look like the Doctors don't know what they're doing. Braham is a perfect example. The doctors knew all along it wasn't a bone bruise, but Marvin chose not to disclose that. He does it with virtually every injury if he thinks it's to his advantage somehow. We hear that it's minor week after week, then suddenly we put a guy on IR. Most likely our doctors knew all along. At least in most cases. So they put 8 in the box and stuff the run, and protect against Fitz running. Throw in enough blitzing and looks to throw the passing game off and make Fitz second guess himself.
