Wood floors are finally installed, it looks beautiful. I might get some pics this weekend. They've been working on the paint a little bit, I sure wish they'd hurry up. My grandparents are coming up from Tennessee next weekend for my sisters graduation open house, and chances are this will be the last time they come up to Ohio (they're nearing 80 years old). I'd love to show them our house with carpet and what not installed. Gutters are also installed.

Also slowly getting work done with our bathroom, and have about half of our furniture in storage now, hopefully will finish the bathroom this weekend, and be out of the house next weekend. And I might be purchasing another duplex next week, just have to get all of my financing together.

I saw something cool you could get for the house. I was at Lowes hardware and they had a Bengals rug which was about 4x6 not cheap though $160-180 range.

Middletown guys? Oh I like that..........I am a transplated Fenwick Falcon out in NYC............I agree that if you squint and look at it the right way, Carlisle is an upgrade to Franklin. MTown isn't much better but I always throw this in when someone asks me where I'm from.......I say, you know Cris Carter, yea, I'm from there...Like I have ANY affiliation to Cris or his family but somehow it works most of the time or at least lets me change the subject. And if i'm feeling gutsy I'll also claim Carter attended Fenwick his frosh year which is blatantly false.

Just an update, probably one of my last for a while (well, I should be posting pictures on Monday).

The house is pretty much done. All of the carpet is installed. All of the siding is done. All that needs to be done is install the shutters, final grade work, finish some painting, and that's about it.

It was an amazing feeling when I walked in today to see that all of the carpet was installed. It's now at the point where if it weren't for all of the inspections, I could move in tonight. All of our colors we chose look great, all of our options are great, etc.

Now we have to wait a month to close on it

It's done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went by today, and all of the painting is done. Landscaping is done. Grass SHOULD be planted (they were prepping the soil for the grass, and a house down the road on the same schedule as ours was getting sod put down).

I've got a list of about 15 things that need addressed between now and July 6, that I will go over with the supervisor on Thursday.

Might have pics tomorrow, but I doubt it. Too much going on

Yeah I guess the whole Carter thing may work. But sadly he does not claim Middletown anymore, nor would I. Great town to grow up in but you have to leave if you want to live. Im working on that. You know what I mean if your were a "fish eater" lol I went to Monroe, that was our nickname for you Falcons.

Yea, we had a number of nicknames for your women from Monroe as well ;) . What year did you graduate? The Carter thing works like a charm for and I'll be damned if he shuns MTown now. I love going back to visit, esp. from here its such a change of pace.

We had our final inspection/homeowners orientation today. Lots of little things that need to be touched up, but it looks good. They didn't do a good job painting, and some of the trim work looks a little messy. Also found out that I paid to have my garage painted, but it didn't get done, so when I get back from vacation I will have a nice painted garage to come home to :) They had to order a new oven, because ours had a dent on it. Other than that, I am ecstatic about how well it turned out. I was very dissapointed with the paint, but it will all be repainted over the next year anyways, so I guess I was just being picky.

We will be registered at Elder Beerman, so feel free to buy gifts and I guess I can have you guys over for some food. We've got a lot of house to fill

i almost forgot about that shit...

chris is a punk ass and is known to have a couple "illegitimate" children still living in the area, i would much rather choose to identify myself with jerry lucas however...

Right next to it, my wife lived in Germantown her whole life, and I lived in the small town next to it (we went to the same school, Valley View) my whole life. It's a very nice town, but property taxes are pretty high. Where at in Germantown? We were going to build in Germantown, but the property taxes scared me away.
