Mine is a Merkur HD. They cost around 40 bucks, blades are about a dollar a piece and last about 4-5 shaves depending on how well you soften the beard before you shave. It's what they used back in the day before disposable razors were introduced. I also use shaving soap and a shaving brush to apply the lather. It does take some getting used to, blade angle and pressure are the two biggest things. The best thing to do before switching to one is using just a single blade disposable for at least two weeks to get used to the non pivoting head. You'll tear your face up for a few days but once you get it down it is definitely worth it. Using a single blade gives you a much closer shave, so that will take some getting used to as well.
