I guess losing to unranked teams means you deserve a shot at the NC game.
I guess beating one of the teams on your list means nothing.

11-1, I'll take it.

losing to an unranked team is a slip up. Losing by 44 points is a disaster.

I don't like the method they used to get to this solution, but I think they have the Big 12 teams in the right order. IMO if Oklahoma and Texas played again tomorrow, Oklahoma wins by 10+.

They lost because of a missed extra point...

And, lost to a team that also went to LSU and won there...

You're boys lost by 44... that is an ass whippin.

You're correct, though. You should take it. 11-1 is a very, very good record. Tech fans shouldn't take the slight and make it a negative for the whole season.

Honestly, I think Texas is getting screwed the most of the three. They lost to Tech, at Tech, on a last second touchdown (by probably the best WR in the college game). Texas handily beat Oklahoma on a neutral field, and we know what Oklahoma did to Tech.

Given those circumstances... how do you not have Texas higher than Oklahoma?

Hahahah I didn't know you wanted a realistic or logical answer. Anyway, I'd rather see some cool matchups than Texas Tech vs Ole Miss.

Texas Tech vs Ohio State would be awesome (rematch from the Clarett whoopin)
Texas Tech vs Boise State or one of the undefeated teams would be cool.

I just feel my team is going to be wasted on a boring bowl when there are so many cooler matchups.

I'm not saying Texas Tech wouldn't deserve a shot.

I'm saying they don't have a chance to get in.

You are 7th in the current BCS. Alabama or Florida will lose. The other will be in the NC game.

If Oklahoma wins, they are in. If they lose, Texas is probably going. But USC, if they absolutely dominate UCLA might get enough style points to move up, but I doubt it.

But no matter what happens in the SEC and Big 12 title games, there is no scenario that will put Tech in the game.

Don't take it personally. You notice I don't have UC, or OSU up there either.

Can Texas Go? I thought you had to win the conference championship to go. At any rate, Texas deserves to go over USC, if Oklahoma loses, but I'm guessing a USC - Florida matchup would draw some killer ratings.

Texas should have gone anyway. The only college poll I respect is this one:

Totally non-biased, mathematical justification to this poll.

I'd have to see how he derives the "ranking" and "sos" percentages...

Just throwing up numbers for justification doesn't mean anything. I looked around the website some but couldn't really see where you explains and justifies he's means...

Having said that - I'll disagree with you on you're agreeing with that ranking... Like them or not - how are you going to have Alabama 3rd when they're undefeated??? and I don't like Alabama... but I'd say the same thing if it were two SEC schools each with one loss and an Oklahoma or Texas undefeated...

Undefeated doesn't matter or you have to consider Ball State and Boise State. In a system where you don't have a true champion determined by playoffs, you have to look at the math.

cool. Thank you for the link.

I agree with your statements... I'll have to read through his mathematical justification for his weak ranking of the SEC in general.

Undefeated does matter when it comes against 8 teams in what is widely, and universally recognized as the toughest conference in football year in and year out. They've won 4 of the last 10 National Championship games...

Agreed on a playoff though.
