fredtoast
With all due respect to Malcolm Jenkins, Tennesse's Eric Berry is the best college DB in the nation. In fact Berry is one of the best college DBs I have ever seen. He hits like Ronnie Lott. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMI4qj0pj3E (fast forward to 0:30 for the big hit on Moreno) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk7Oj8wmRLQ As a blitzer he is a disruption in the backfield (8.5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks). He plays the run well (72 tkls). This year he led the nation in interceptions (7), int return yardage (265) and scored 2 tds. He was the main reason that Tennessee finished #4 in the nation in both total defense and pass defense. After just two season he is only 15 yards away from the NCAA career record for interception return yardage. Berry is one of the most talented college football players I have ever seen. If he gets more involved in the offense next year (and if UT wins any games) he could win the Heisman.
Jason
I'm sure it didn't help Berry that UT was awful this season. Blame his teammates for stealing it, not Malcom.

akiliMVP
Berry is amazingly good. He'll win the Thorpe next season. I'm sure this was mostly due to Jenkins being a senior. Although Jenkins has done pretty well himself.
Vol_Bengal
It probably had a little to do with Jenkins being a senior and Berry being a sophomore... but the fact that UT was 5-7 was a bigger factor... He'll win it next season and if he stays his senior year will win it then too. He's an absolute stud - should have UT's all-time INT record by the middle of next season too. He has like 14 in his first two years.

fredtoast
He has like 14 in his first two years.
He has 12, and he has averaged over 40 yards per return. So if he gets a pick and doesn't return it at least 40 yards his average goes down. That is just insane. And he also has a 50+ yard fumble return for a TD and had another 50+ yard return that was overturned by instant replay (RB was down before fumble).
