But I think the much more important thing is that maybe, just maybe Bailey is finally reaching his potential. If Bailey can pitch well in the second half and Volquez can come back strong, then we could have the best rotation in baseball. Its easy to blame this loss on the bullpen (and Dusty obviously) but the bullpen has been so damn good all year, they are gonna blow a game every now and then. Jumped about .8 in one game. Cant get much worse than that. This game will kill his stats for a while. Proved charlie manuel right for not picking him in the allstar game. Obviously Cueto isnt gonna pitch this bad the rest of the season but if he struggles in the second half and arroyo continues to, its gonna be a long long second half. The next 6 games till the all star break are gonna be big for this team, they can either take a huge loss like this and let it effect them the next 6 games and finish 3-5 games under .500 or they can man up and fight back after their worst loss in 107 years.
