Hopeful for a future little Bengals fan (or 2 or 3)

I know, wrong forum. A moderator can feel free to move this later.

My wife and I have not been able to conceive for reasons I will not go into. A while ago we started looking into getting some "help". We are lucky to live close to one of the best fertility centers in the country. We will soon begin an In Vitro Fertilization procedure. We have good medical insurance, but it does not cover everything. The place we are going has a very good success rate, but we probably will only be able to afford one attempt in the next year or 2, and we are both getting older (I am soon to be 41 and she just turned 37) so doing it again may not be realistic. We hope to start the process sometime in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Prayers for success on the first try would be much appreciated.

As I had some similar problems, and proceeded to go through some of the same procedures that you and the Mrs. are heading... I definitely identify Jason.

Prayers are heading your family's way, and I wish you the best of luck.

PM me if I can ever be of any assistance.

I was 40 when I got married so the wife and I were in a bit of a hurry to have kids. After less than a year of trying my wife made an appointment with a fertility specialist. At her appointment she found out that she was already a few days pregnant. We have two daughters now (5 and 3) and they are the greatest things in my life.

Good luck.

Jason..Good luck with the in vitro and I will pray that your lovely wife does conceive. My wife and I were married 3 years ago on St. Patty's Day. It was the best day of my life. At the time she was 40 and I was 44. We tried to conceive with the help of In Vitro as well as IUI. We then went to a big shot specialist in NYC on Park Avenue who was 10 for 10 in getting my wife's friends friends pregnant. None of it worked for us so we decided to adopt. We adopted a beautiful baby boy from Kazakhstan(formerly a Russian Republic). Yes it was expensive and time consuming( it took 21 monts to complete the adoption) but it was worth all the time, money and effort. The day our adoption went through( February 23rd) is now in a tie for the happiest day of our lives. It has been absolutely awesome and if you do not conceive I would highly recommend it. Anyway sorry for rambling on but I know all that you'll need to know about in vitro and if you have any questions please feel free to ask me..The Doctor we used on Park Avenue is Dr. Sami David. He has his own website and has been hugely successful. The big drawback is that he does not take health insurance.

Been down this road too... and both times when we gave up on the "help" and just relaxed we were successful.

Also, something to ask about - There's a little talked about blood clotting issue that stops the egg from properly sticky to the wall and getting good blood supply. This is a really easy fix with a simple medication. Ask about it.

Funny you should bring that up Harley... it's called anti-phospholipid anti-body syndrome.

For those laymen out there like me, it means that the womans body see's the egg sac as a blood clot and gets rid of it. It has ties into Lupus... as this doctor in Hawaii told us. My wife got pregnant with my daughter, had to give herself two shots of Heparin (blood thinner) a day... and my miracle daughter was born!!!

Small world isn't it?

If there is a history of anyone being diagnosed with Lupus in her family Jason, you might want to look into this.

Once again... knee mail on the way!

Good Luck Jason. It took 2 1/2 years with 1 miscarriage for my wife and I to get our little Bengal fan. We were just about to go into looking at our options and a week before the appointment my wife wound up preggers. It's still tough waiting for all of it to happen, but it really is worth it when they come.

I don't post here but lurk all the time,so I can pick up the useful info and opinions about my favourite in all of sports that we just can't get in the UK.

Jason, just want you to know that you are in the thoughts of both me and the wife. We went through what you are going through before our little boy was born. We needed a little help with him. But our little girl came along via the natural route.

Be strong man,for you and wife and i hope it works out as well for you guys as it did for us.
