NOOOO thanks, where would you put him???? There is no place on this team for a washed up prima donna......we have a probowl prima donna and that's enough.

Chad Johnson acted just like him 2 seasons ago.

IMO he'd come in here and be very humbled and happy as hell to be playing for a 6-2 team.

I think he'd shine, Corey Dillon was a prema dona asshole too, but that seemed to disappear in NE. He also was washed up and done, but then he had the best season of his career there.

IMO we could definitely use him, I want to see Benson running like a monster for the next 4 years not just the next 2 years.

My predictions, in decreasing order of likelihood:

1 - Johnson will sign with the Redskins (as mentioned, Snyder likes Penn State guys. Also, Portis is hurt.)
2 - Johnson will sign with the Raiders (would be motivated to do well for a division rival)
3 - Johnson will sign with the Browns (they'll sign anybody and need help everywhere, especially with Jamal Lewis gone.)
4 - Johnson will not sign with anyone
5 - Johnson will sign with the Jets (they need a RB with 1/2 a year of tread left on him)

I don't see him having a fit, or interest, anywhere else.

the odds of the chiefs resigning him is more likely than the raiders signing him. they have been discussing trading one of their RBs because they have too many and all 3 are better than LJ.

I keep saying this too. He physically cannot keep carrying the ball 30 times a game. He will either be worn out, injured or gun-shy. We need to give Leonard and/or Scott some snaps in relief.
Run the hell out of him against the Steelers and then let Leonard and SAcott carry the load against the Raiders,Browns and Lions. Use Ced against these three teams as needed. He'll be a hell of a lot better in December.

This might be the dumbest idea I've seen here

he's old and washed up, he's an asshole crybaby, and we don't need a RB AT ALL. He was only good when he ran behind that godly oline the chiefs used to have, as soon as it started to disband he started to look like the mediocre player he is.

fucking christ
Not rallying around the troops saying we'd like to have Johnson here but this is one of the silliest things I've ever read. There isn't a back in the league that is going to shine if the O line isn't opening holes for them.

I'm not even gonna read this thread and I'll be pretty damn disappointed in this whole board if every response is not: "what the fuck are talking about?"

Hell no, let his slow ass sign with the Clowns.

We have the the #2 rusher in the league, a guy who will be considered one of the best 3rd down backs in the league by seasons end, and a homerun threat in Scott who can't even see the field. The last thing we need is a malcontent RB in midseason of a team with great chemistry.

As silly as it sounds, lets hope he doesn't sign with the Stealers. I'd hate for him to go and pull a Cedric Benson.
Thats actually what the ESPN MNF countdown guys were saying, being from PSU and a PA guy in general thats where he would like to go.

Adam Schefter on ESPN just talked about potential interest from the Steelers in acquiring Larry Johnson.
he didn't say the stealers were interested, just that LJ was interested in being a stealer.
