I want to see Chase and Jerome get a chance to make plays as well.

I dont know if we should get too cocky and give all three snaps, but I wouldnt mind seeing Jerome get a chance and let Purify sit this week.

I think we play Smith, Purify and Vakapuna, sit Benson, Kooistra, and maybe Rivers again and let Vakapuna, Scott and Leonard pound the hell out of the weak Raiders run D.

Agreed. I see Andre finally getting some snaps over this 3 week stretch. I'm not sure Jerome/Chase will get snaps just for the sake of getting them. That being said, I would predict Chase sees the field prior to Jerome. There are just too many guys in front of him and a 4th/5th WR would need to play special teams if he was to dress.

I kind of like seeing Roland out there and have really enjoyed the unbalanced line. The pitch right to Scott yesterday where the entire line pulled right and got out in front of him was a thing of beauty.

Yeah hat's off to Paul Alexander, he has been a hell of a coach this year.

It's amazing how good your coaching staff gets, when you get players that buy in to what they're saying, isn't it?
I'd like to see Rivers and Benson continue resting up next week. Those leg injuries are always nagging and nothing does them in like time. We'll need both of those guys big time in the playoffs.

That said, I think we see Andre FOR SURE next week, and likely in every Bengal game thereafter for the next 5-8 years. We have been very lucky with O-line injuries (the only place they've come up is LG, where we have two competent starters) but that can't last forever. If Whit goes down that sends AC back over to the left side and Roland is left alone at RT. That's where we need Andre. Not to mention a mauling, road-grading, ass-fucking beast of an RT is exactly what we need to make that dominant playoff run Carson is talking about. Running the ball and stopping the run is what we do, and that's how to beat the class of the AFC right now (Indy).

I think we might also see Chase, assuming he's ready. Could be an extra spice to throw into the offense, something nobody will have any tape on when we get to games that really matter.
AH THE SECRET WEAPONS!!!

Where do we get these wonderful Toys?
It's pretty damn amazing our team is so deep we can't figure out who to sit each week unless we have injuries.

With us signing Johnson we might even be able to sit benson a week!

If you're thinking about the same play I am then we probably all knew that an outside run to the right was coming. Purify came into the game and lined up as the WR on the right side. I don't know if the Steelers noticed it and/or saw it coming.

I will be disappointed if he doesn't get some snaps this week.

I think there's a chance Andre doesn't take a snap all season, unless there's an injury to one of the three OTs in front of him. I've heard people say that all Andre has to do is get in front of Collins for backup right tackle, but Collins is also the backup left tackle. Smith may just be the victim of the OLs lack of experience and versatility. Cannot believe the Bengals will ever dress more than 8 off linemen. Many teams only dress seven, if the backups can play multiple positions. That means there will be three active guards, three active tackles, and two centers. Smith may have played left tackle in college, but now he's practicing exclusively at right tackle. Wouldn't mean he's a bust, just means he might have to wait until 2010 to show what he can do.
