Haha stereotype much?

There are a fair share of dbags, but the majority of the school is pretty cool. But im glad you judge it based of probably a couple people.
a couple people?

i went to school there too... its certainly the majority.. but probably 55%... there are some GREAT people there.. but its a unique campus for sure.. there are lots of people there with entitlement issues, most stem from a rich parent complex, but toss athlete and now millionaire superbowl winner athlete into the mix and holy shit...

isnt he from tiffin, too? thats a weird fucking place too... wikipedia says lima, that doesnt sound right... i thought he was from either bowling green or tiffin area... hmmm..

either way.. super small towns, to priss college athlete treatment, to nfl star = seemingly a super d-bag.

and WTF with the hair?

w---t---f...

Ben has always been an overrated hack. Now he is proven to be trash.

But the NFL is filled with rich douche bags that can play a sport people love to watch. Every team in the league has these dudes. The coverage of the NFL and sports is the male soap opera. Negative sells so these douche bags out shine the quality players.

I am enjoying this because if you go to a Steelers board you are now seeing them become legal experts, moral police etc. Kinda like this board a few years back.

The sad part is winning football games still carries the day. When the bengals went through the trash because of some of their jackass players many jokes were made, many wrong assumptions were made about the organization. Heck they still carry that label today. The Great Redeemer Mike Brown is doing nothing different than the Rooney family. Trying to acquire talent and then dealing with issues if they arise but still trying to keep talent. However the Steeler organization that has had many public goofs has been spared because at the end of the day they win alot.

This is really the first day I miss the football huddles because there were some high and mightly Steeler prick fans. I knew it is just a matter of time before other teams started to get the fuck ups. It's played out that way. The Bengals will once again have their low moments with off the field crap.

Why the hell is he still hanging out in College Bars which usually have under aged girls/boys?

Ben, you are a NFL SuperStar... you should be banging hot models on a yacht not 18 year olds in a bathroom.
As OS said, he's from Findlay. I spent a day up there once a couple years ago... nothing out of the ordinary. Guess what I was doing... playing football. They have some good teams up there. Best thing about it... not one reference anywhere to Roethlisberger. Nothing.

Ben is addicted to sleezy college chicks. It's in his DNA. It's in his comfort zone. He could be on the boat with the ladies, but he prefers being the big shot at a little place with a bunch of teeny boppers running around to choose from... just what he's use to.

Not defending this retard, but sports figures are constantly chased and everyone is out to make a buck. It wouldn't surprise me if these chicks sucked him off, figured he'd keep them around, he dumped them and they got their little feelings hurt. I'm willing to bet that this latest one is a money chaser. I think it's extra slimey that a lawyer would actually call a radio show to announce that he was looking into something like this. Real sleazeball shit if you ask me.

I hear this shit all day on sports talk and so on.. About how all these women are out to get these "poor athletes" and how Ben should have "been more careful" etc..

I call BULLSHIT. If that were true how come this doesn't happen all the time? Why is it that the only athlete I can think of besides Kobe (who's side of the story was pretty hard to swallow as well) having this "happen to them" is Ben? And 3 times in less than a year?

Am I really to believe that Ben is the only football player in recent memory who is stupid and trolling the clubs for tail?

BULLSHIT

Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for over two hours yesterday in New York to discuss recent headlines.

Both parties have remained relatively mum on what was discussed and what happened during their meeting; however, we are hearing reports of "vaginal abrasions", but both parties were quick to respond that all contact was consensual.

Dan Rooney says "no comment" on whether Steelers support Roethlisberger
Posted by Mike Florio on April 14, 2010 11:29 PM ET

With multiple media figures in Pittsburgh discussing and/or calling for the team to trade quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers have been conspicuously quiet.

The silence became even more conspicuous on Wednesday night, when chairman Dan Rooney was asked about the situation at a press conference prior to receiving the Citizen of the Year Award from the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO at a dinner in Pittsburgh.

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Rooney acknowledged that it is a "serious matter," and that he believes the situation is being "handled properly" by team president Art Rooney (Dan's son), coach Mike Tomlin, and director of football operations Kevin Colbert.

Here's the kicker -- asked whether the Steelers organization supports Roethlisberger, Rooney said, "I'm not making any comment on that."

That's perhaps the most ominous statement we've seen regarding Roethlisberger's status. If Rooney isn't willing to assert express support for a two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback, it means that the organization quite possibly is in the process of moving on. So even if the Steelers haven't initiated trade talks, the Bills, Jaguars, Broncos, Raiders, Panthers, Cardinals, Seahawks, Rams, and 49ers should be burning up the phone lines to the 412 area code.

Meanwhile, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who attended the event, said that he will make a decision in the near future regarding Roethlisberger, according to the Associated Press.

"I think he understands how important the Personal Conduct Policy is to the NFL," Goodell told the AP. "And I hope he has a better understanding of how important it is for everybody in the league."

As to the specific status of the situation, Goodell said, "We'll continue to gather more information. We'll continue to have that analysis done, and we'll consider it and make a decision in the near future. We like to be thorough. We like to be sure we fully understand it. We've talked to, obviously, the player. We'll talk to the [NFLPA]. I think anytime you can get more input into the various factors that are going on, the better decision you'll make."

Even though Roethlisberger was cleared of any potential criminal charges on Monday, the momentum against him seems to be building. A suspension now appears to be a given. Though something dramatic, like a trade, remains unlikely, it's a possibility that can't be disregarded.

Wake up, Big Ben ... you're definitely not invincible
April 12, 2010
By Pete Prisco
CBSSports.com Senior Writer
You would think a near-death experience would change a man, make him appreciate people more.

Be nicer.

Be wiser.

Be considerate of others.

It sure didn't do that to Ben Roethlisberger.

If anything, his motorcycle crash of four years ago has made him even more invincible, which is a mortal sin of the modern athlete.

They think nothing can take them down.

They forget the one thing that can and usually does cut their legs out as they fail in the game of life.

Themselves.

Roethlisberger, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, is getting off free on his latest misstep in Georgia, no charges being filed for an alleged sexual charge. The district attorney announced Monday the alleged victim didn't want to press charges.

Roethlisberger's biggest problem is what stares back at him in the mirror every day, an own-the-world athlete who isn't at all humbled by his near-death experience.

He came into the league an arrogant rookie who didn't exactly endear himself to his teammates. Then he won two Super Bowls, which had some of his teammates wondering how he fits his helmet on his head.

Anybody have a size 11 for bowling-ball head?

For a brief time after the motorcycle crash, some say Roethlisberger actually seemed humbled. Reflection can do that to a man.

Then he won his second Super Bowl. Big Ben went to his head.

Team insiders say he became surly again. There are reports of him treating people rudely in public. He wasn't warm and fuzzy with his teammates, even if he did take his linemen to some wrestling night out, making it look like he cared.

True story: In 2008, while the Steelers were en route to another Super Bowl, I actually had some Steelers players saying the team would have been better off with Roethlisberger on the bench.

That's 100 percent true.

When the Steelers won the Super Bowl, thanks to a memorable late-game drive and touchdown pass in the final seconds, Roethlisberger had two rings, enough bling to earn him a pass.

How do you tone down a player with that success?

Last summer, a woman in Nevada accused him of a sexual assault, but no charge was filed. She did file a civil suit.

The latest incident happened at a college bar with a coed who was too young to drink legally. Roethlisberger followed her into a bathroom in that bar, guessing by most college bars it had to be a pretty nasty little place.

What happened in there is unknown, and might never be known.

But why go?

Isn't that below him? Or is it?

You would think a Super Bowl quarterback might date a supermodel and actually have some fun in his own home, not some stinky bathroom in some college bar. But you hear stories about how athletes love the quick sex fix, often ducking into cars or bar bathrooms. This is not surprising.

I want to caution that we all have to be careful here. By the book of the law, Roethlisberger isn't guilty of any crime.

By the rules of life, he is definitely guilty of stupidity.

If the woman pressed on, it might have become the night the lights went out on his career in Georgia.

His whole act is arrogance, the I-can't-be-taken-down arrogance.

That act is tiring.

The Steelers and the NFL need to tighten the leash because obviously this dog needs one. Without it, he can't seem to control himself. He puts himself in really dumb situations.

The Steelers sent receiver Santonio Holmes to the New York Jets for a fifth-round pick Sunday night. Word was they would have let him go if they didn't trade him. And he was a 1,200-yard receiver in 2009, the Super Bowl hero the year before, in the prime of his career.

The Steelers tired of his act. Anybody can go, right?

It's tougher to grow weary of a quarterback's act since he is the cornerstone of the franchise. You don't let guys like Roethlisberger just walk away.

But if he doesn't change, the Rooney Family, which owns the team, might have no choice.

Then again, if he doesn't change, he might be playing for that same team that Mike Vick once starred on, the prison-yard bunch of has-beens and wannabes.

There are plenty of nasty bathrooms for you in there, but no coeds, Ben.

Think about that. You are not invincible, even if you think you are.

Stealers say they are prepared to discipline Ben in coordination with the league. Whatever that means.

Adam Schefter suspects that a suspension won't come down until after next week as to not overshadow the schedule release hype and the draft coverage.

I disagree with that notion. I think if you announce it now its gets less air time next week than if you wait and get all of the "will he or won't he get suspended" commentary.

Statement: Accuser 'dragged' to room
ESPN.com news services

VIDEO PLAYLIST

Jim Rome Burns On Ben Roethlisberger

A friend of the woman who accused Ben Roethlisberger of sexual assault told authorities that Roethlisberger's bodyguard "dragged" the woman into a bathroom where the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and woman had sexual relations.

In documents released Wednesday, Nicole Biancofiore told investigators from the Georgia Bureau of Investigations that her friend, a student at Georgia College & State University, "was dragged by a bodyguard to the back room in Capital [City, a local nightclub]. She was extremely intoxicated and not aware of what was happening."

"He had sex w/me and meanwhile his bodyguards told my friends they couldn't pass them to get to me," the accuser wrote in her statement, which was reported in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Roethlisberger was not charged in the incident, which occurred in the early morning hours of March 5 in Milledgeville, a central Georgia college town about 30 miles from where Roethlisberger owns a lake home.

Ocmulgee Circuit District Attorney Fred Bright said Monday that after exhaustive interviews and inconclusive medical exams, the student's accusations could not be proved beyond a reasonable doubt. He also revealed the young accuser no longer wanted him to prosecute.

Thursday, Steelers president Art Rooney II says the team is ready to discipline Ben Roethlisberger but the punishment will be coordinated with the NFL and won't pre-empt any league action.

Rooney said the Steelers' image and Roethlisberger's have been damaged because of the incident.

Roethlisberger, who was out drinking with friends to celebrate his 28th birthday, bumped into the student and her sorority sisters throughout the night. They linked up at Capital City, where he invited them to a VIP section and bought them a round of shots.

Another friend, Aliesha Scholten, told investigators that she tried to open the locked door, but "she was taken away by a bodyguard of Ben's."

A third friend, Ann Marie Lubatti, told police, that she "approached the other security guard and told him that she [the accuser] was in no shape to be back there with Ben Roethlisberger. He couldn't look me in the eye, and told me he didn't know what was going on. My friend went to open the door, and it was locked."

The initial police report said that "One of the suspect's bodyguards escorted her to a back room/hallway area where the suspect was. Once there, she stated, the suspect asked her for sex. At this time it is unclear to what happened after this point due to the complainant's recollection being foggy from her intoxication level. However, she did write a statement of what she thought happened."

In part, the woman's statement read: "I met Ben Rotheseburgehergh [sic] at Velvet. He went to the Brick because he was [unreadable] to not be bombarded by fans. He then met us at the Brick and called me 'a tease.' Eventually we saw him at the Capital City & saw him there."

Roethlisberger met Tuesday with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who is expected to decide on punishment for the two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback.

The New York Times reported Thursday that the NFL sent a memo addressed to team owners, executives and head coaches, saying in part: "Unfortunately, in recent weeks there have been several negative incidents. These incidents include subjects that we have previously identified as particularly troublesome, such as alcohol-related offenses, allegations of violence against women, and weapons offenses."

It added: "The Policy makes clear that NFL and club personnel must do more than simply avoid criminal behavior," the memo said. "We must conduct ourselves in a way that 'is responsible, that promotes the values upon which the league is based, and is lawful."

Now we know exactly what Roethlisberger was accused of doing that night: straight up, unprotected sex. Let's dig right in to the sordid details, shall we?

Since no charges will be brought, the investigation records become public; The Smoking Gun has 572 pages of them. Included are witness statements from those present in the bar, including the victim and her friends. Among the highlights:

•The encounter lasted about ten minutes, beginning from when Roethlisberger entered the back area "with his penis already out of his pants." The alleged victim repeatedly told him she didn't want to have sex, but he kept reassuring her, as they had unprotected sex. She told her friends immediately after, and they reported it to the first police officer they saw.

•According to her friend, both the girl and Roethlisberger were "noticeably intoxicated". He had his bodyguards escort the victim to the back, and he followed two minutes later. When they approached the bar manager to unlock the bathroom door, he told them "Ben's an NFL quarterback, he won't do anything to ruin his reputation."

•The alleged victim had met up with Roethlisberger earlier in the night at another bar, where he called her and her sorority sisters "a tease." They ran into him again at Capital City, where the back room was roped off to everyone but Roethlisberger and "10 to 15 girls." One of her friends told police afterwards that she thought the whole thing was a "set-up," and that Roethlisberger had selected the alleged victim earlier in the evening.

•The alleged victim was wearing a nametag labeled "DTF" When asked, she said it stood for "down to fuck." Roethlisberger replied, "I'm not down to fuck, but I like to fuck girls."

•One of the girls in the group left the bar angrily after Roethlisberger purchased a round of drinks, saying "all my bitches, take some shots."

•Roethlisberger's bodyguards were deleting photos from people's cameras and phones that depicted Roethlisberger drinking.

•When they got home, one of Roethlisberger's friends asked him what had happened in the bathroom. Roethlisberger told him nothing had happened, and that they were just "messing around." He said that she had slipped, and once he had helped her up, he told her they were not going to continue.

•On March 17, 12 days after the incident, a lawyer for the woman requested that the rape probe be dropped, because "a criminal trial would be a very intrusive experience."

So there you have it. By avoiding charges, Roethlisberger escaped potential jail time. But he didn't escape having the sleazy details of his night in Milledgeville splashed all over, for everyone to judge.
