I too consider you a friend due to our common bond of appreciating the mastermind that is Bob Bratkowski. I actually tell people you're one of my best friends. Wanna hang out this weekend?

As for your questions:

1. Why do the women cover 99.9% of their body? To keep pervs like you from looking at their lovely lady lumps.

2. Is it true about the women beating part (I read it was OK on the internet). Absolutely true. We are encouraged to beat not only women, but children and animals. I kicked a rabbit stepping out of my condo this morning. Felt so good.

3. Will I have to worry about driving by the mosque and see a stoning? Yes, so avoid driving by on Tuesdays and Thursdays approx 6pm.......trust me on this one.

4. Is there anything wrong with me baking a basket full of cookies and showing up before service for a "Welcome friends tickle party", I might hand out some hugs too?? Who doesn't like cookies and hugs? This is a silly question.

5. Do you think they would be OK for doing a nativity scene with lights during Christmas? Not unless you want to be stoned. See question #3 for times to avoid.

6. Do you guys consider white (although golden tanned) good looking guys, with a high IQ, nice set of abs, perfect teeth, and a large penis as infidels? Yes

7. Can I look at your people in the eyes and pat the children on the head? In Gran Torino Clint Eastwood couldn't do this. Don't EVER look us in the eye. EVER.

Hope this helps satisfy your thirst for knowledge. It really is admirable that you're getting outside of your comfort zone. You are one of the good guys........but still an infidel. The terrorists haven't won yet.

I like your style IKOTA. I believe we just bridged the gap my friend. Our people can now be friends.

Here, I'll help on that one.

Article the third ...... Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

You see, just because as a christian you or I think we can deprive them of their right to practice their faith or peacefully assemble wherever they want, the Constitution of The United State of America says that it is a right to be able to build where they want and that we cannot prohibit the free exercise of that.

You act as if the people worshipping there would have had anything to do with the attacks.. FYI Islam is not a nation, nor a political organization. Muslims didn't get together as a group and decide to attack NYC.

The Shrine being built has as much to do with the attacks on 9/11 as your church has to do with the Spanish Inquisition or the Holy Crusades.

So would it be fair for me to judge you over what some white Christians did in the Southern US during Jim Crowe?

Of course not....

The lower Manhattan issue is a really tough question. I am not sure where I stand on that one. Religious freedom is pretty clearly laid out in the establishment clause. On the other hand does it really have to be put right there? Is anyone really surprised that there is an uproar over it?

It seems there is a certain amount ignorance on both sides of the issue. I am not sure where I stand on the issue.

As for a mosque being built in Florence? Get over it.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but isn't there a mosque in/at the Pentagon?
I believe so, but it was there before the 9/11 attacks IIRC. The question is, does that matter?

This whole hullaballoo about an Islamic cultural center near the WTC site strikes me as being another instance of the purposeful inciting of hatred towards a class of people, making scapegoats out of them. The dupes who fall for this sort of stuff are both sad and dangerous, but not as dangerous as those who consciously stir up this kind of crap, knowing that they are taking advantage of other people's insecurities.

I know this is a pipe-dream, but I wish folks would stop embracing all this ugliness. There's so much Beauty in the world to appreciate instead. If only folks could make a little room in their hearts and souls for it....

I agree, and if anything, Americans should embrace this place because it tells the entire Muslim world "See? We really are free, and in spite of what certain radical elements within your religion did to us, we are going to build a Muslim cultural center near where all this happened!"...its the ultimate snub towards the radical terrorist Islamic propaganda machine.

The lower Manhattan issue is a really tough question.
1. It's not even a Mosque

2. It's not even at Ground Zero

3. There is already an Islamic Community Center 4 blocks away, this would be 2 blocks away from one corner of the giant hole. + There's over 100 Mosques already in NYC.

4. This is closer to an Islamic YMCA/Chef school than anything, with a swimming pool, basketball court, auditorium, culinary center and yes a prayer room.

5. There is already a strip club and a sex toy shop 2 blocks from the "sacred" ground zero. Plus liquor stores and a peep show.

6. There are Christian churches in Hiroshima & Nagasaki

7. Timothy McVeigh was raised as a Christian ... why not ban all Churches in Oklahoma City then?

8. Even Tehran, Iran allows for Synagogues to be built, and in fact has 4 of them!

9. WTC # 2 actually had a Muslim prayer room in it, and Muslims died on 9/11 in the towers as well

10. The Pentagon (also attacked on 9/11) has had in Mosque within its walls since 9/11 - for Muslims who work in the Pentagon.

True... there are no legal grounds to stop such a plan...

But, two can play the game. I'd begin permits / plans for a pig farm / pork processing plant right next door... process bacon and pork chops all day long. Have industrial fans blowing the exhaust "away from the plant"...

I mean - they shouldn't be offended, right? Legally, a business owner would have the right to do such a thing.

It has nothing to do with religion or not... it is about proximity... it would equate to making a woman that has been raped, hang a picture of her rapist on her bedroom wall. It is just pouring salt in the wound.
