certainly never saw the o-line being so terrible with no new additions...... oh wait...

08 line = terrible.

2010 line = average. Andre getting better will make it better.

We overachieved last year (Mainly Def) and the soft schedule made us look better then what we really were. A few games could've been loses last year but we ended up pulling it out. We even had a hard time putting bad teams away.

I concur.

Not to single you out or anything - on the contrary really - because the prevalence of this attitude I think has as much to do with the team's fortunes as anything else. When everyone expects them to fail, how can everyone act so disappointed when they do?

I didn't expect them to fail. And from what I gather in this thread not many on here did either.

Most of the people here at this site and most of my friends didn't expect them to fail . I don't know how you reached that conclusion . Who the hell is everyone ? This city as a whole expected big things out of this years Bengals .

We even had a hard time putting bad teams away. we are no way close to being a playoff team. We can't beat the Brown nor the Bucs, you gotta be kidding me. Being from NY, if this was the JETS or the GIANTS, you would've seen some firing going on around here a long time ago.

The Bengals in '05 had an easy schedule also. They were 4-0 agaist weak NFC teams and finished at 11-5 . The results in '06 were what we are seeing again. I think '06 they went 7-9 or 8-8 against a tougher schedule . Looks like another 6-8 game win season. I hope I'm wrong about that .

"This team is cursed"

"They find a way to lose"

"I'm always thinking they're going to blow it in the end"

I hear that kind of stuff constantly, around here in particular.

You probably didn't see Palmer being so awful with all of his new weapons either.
