This is just silly given OSUs schedule

While we didnt have a tough schedule his point is accurate.

His point is that we have back to back to back games vs the likes of Penn State, Iowa, and Michigan.

Boise state has back to back to back games against some of the shittiest teams in the WAC teams like Idaho, Hawaii, Fresno State and the likes of those.

Penn State and Michigan arent that good this year, but they are still middle of the road big ten teams that are all better then those 3 teams for the WAC. Boise state and tcu play 2 or 3 games at most a year that they actually have to get up for and have a chance at getting beat, OSU has games every single week against BCS caliber teams that they have to get up for.

Ghee is the man and is absolutely correct in his assessment.

His name is Gee, and he is wrong. They have beaten 1 Count it 1 currently ranked team. I have no idea how good OSU is because they play all their OOC games at home and they play no one.

Here are several facts about Ohio State's "Tough Schedule":
• EIGHT home games.
• A home win against a bad, 4 and 7 C-USA team (Marshal).
• A home win over a so-so 7-4 Miami team.
• A home win against so-so Ohio (MAC) team.
• A home win over a horrible E. Mich team (E. Mich is 2-9).
• A road win over a mediocre IL team (6-5 w/ two wins over bad MAC... and win against Purdue).
• A home win over a -HORRIBLE- IN team (4-7 w/ wins over FCS, Sunbelt, and MAC).
• A road LOSS to a good WISC team**.
• A home win over a horrible Purdue team (4-7 w/ two wins over MAC, MINN, and NW).
• A road win over a -HORRIBLE- MINN team (2-9 w/ wins over FCS and IL).
• A home win over an average PENN St team
• A road win over an average to good IOWA team***.

Boise has also beaten only 1 currently ranked team, #16 Va Tech, and just barely.

TCU has only played 1 too, #20 Utah.

The strength of the other teams OSU plays, specifically in the Big 10, is far greater than that of the WAC and MWC.

Sorry about the spelling I was confusing him with Brandon Ghee.

But anyways, I dont care how bad those big ten teams are cause that stretch of big ten games is still
WAY better then the stretch of games that Boise and TCU play. OSU would be undefeated with Boises
schedule guaranteed. Its not even a question.

You are way underestimating the difference between playing Penn State, traveling to Iowa, and playing
Michigan compared to playing Hawaii, Idaho, and Fresno.

Boise:
- beat average #16 Va Tech at home (who lost to D-2 school the next week) on one of the last plays of game
- blowout away win over 3-9 Wyoming (wins over Southern Utah, Toledo and Colorado State)
- home win over 5-5 Oregon State
- away win vs 2-9 New Mexico State
- home win vs average 7-4 Toledo
- away win vs 1-10 San Jose State
- home win vs 4-6 Louisiana Tech
- home win vs 8-3 Hawaii
- away win vs 5-6 Idaho
- home win vs 6-4 Fresno

So OSU played 6 teams with a winning record and Boise 4

It's a natural reaction from the establishment when it's threatened: Protect the establishment.

So you really think OSUs schedule is not comparable to Boises this year? You think OSU is "running the gauntlet"?

BTW
OSUs Opponent winning % 51.5
Teams OSU has beaten winning % 48%
Boise's opponents are a combined 50-58

TCU's 64-60 but their schedule is an even bigger joke than Boise's - Oregon State (5-5), Tennessee Tech (5-6), Baylor (7-5), Southern Methodist (6-5), Colorado State (5-6), Wyoming (3-9), BYU (6-5), Air Force (8-4), UNLV (2-9), Utah (9-2) and San Diego State (7-4)

I'd be willing to bet middle of the road Big 10 teams Iowa, Michigan and maybe even Penn State would run the table or only lose 1 game (Utah?) with that schedule.

You just dont get it dude and are misinterpreting everything.

No one said OSU had a hard schedule, no one said we are running the guantlet.

But if you think Boise State plays anywhere near as hard of a schedule as a big 10 team or a BCS conference team that you are an idiot. Seriously.

Once again comparing the likes of Idaho, New Mexico State, Fresno, La Tech to teams like Iowa, Penn State, Michigan, etc is just ridiculous.

Wisconsin is definitely better then anyone on boises schedule.

Iowa is better then any team on Boise's schedule. You could argue Va Tech.

Miami is better then anyone on boises schedule besides Va tech.

Penn State is better then anyone on Boises schedule besides Va Tech.

Then you get to like Illinois who is comparable to Oregon State.

So Oregon State is the 2nd hardest team on Boises schedule. Illinois is the 5th best team on our schedule. And Id say those two teams are comparable.

NOW DO YOU GET IT?

No one is saying osu has a hard schedule this year, yet its still 10 times harder to go through the big 10 then the wac. Period. The. End.

Ohio State fans just cant take reality. Thats how it is. They are miserable fans, this is known nationwide and they just cant take it when they are questioned as not being good. Entitled, arrogant pricks. And this thread is just an example.

You are using an awfully huge brush to paint with there, Mikey.

This thread is an example of you hating Ohio State ans it's fans.
That's what it really is. He said if you believe that Boise State
plays as hard of a schedule as Ohio State or BCS teams, then
you are an idiot. That is not being an asshole. That is stating
a fact. There is a reason that Boise State is a NON BCS school.
Because they play in a NON BCS Conference. Which means
their opponents aren't on the level as BCS schools.

Also, you can not talk out of both sides of your mouth
and site the Polls to make an arguement one moment,
then talk about how the #8 ranked team "isn't very good".
A keyboard and distance does not give you license to be an asshole.
I am talking to you exactly the same now as I would to your face.
I don't know how to be any other way than what I am. Why is it that
someone can't say "if you think that way, you are an idiot", without
that making them an asshole? If you think that I am an asshole,
and call me such, then doesn't that also make you an asshole too?
Or does that only apply to Ohio State fans?

You mean RANKED higher. Ranked higher does not automatically
equal better. I wish they would just create a true Playoff so teams
would settle shit on the field. And you wouldn't have asinine arguements
like this one.

How would everyone like it if only the top AFC and top NFC teams had
a chance to play in the Super Bowl? I love College Football, but the
BCS system is flawed and really pretty stupid.

No I mean BETTER according to tangible measurable metrics.

Boise best win: #17 according to the data.
tOSU best win: #25 according to the data.

Also, tOSU's SOS is 60th. It's not that far away from Boise's. Also, Boise's SOS will go up since they are playing Nevada this weekend and tOSU is playing Michigan.

I don't have anything against tOSU so I am not coming from a biased point of view. Don't be butt hurt when the numbers prove you wrong.

Why the last line? LOL

I just said the BCS system is flawed and stupid.
So why would I be anything, ecspecially "butt hurt"
when someone tries to use it as a pedestal
for their arguements? In other words, It doesn't
bother me at all. Stand on it. Shout it out loud.

The only "tangible data" you should have to look at is Boise States "best win"
came against a team that lost to James Madison AT HOME the following
week. Yes VT has went on a streak to climb up the rankings where they
are NOW. But obviously they weren't the same team THEN.

Also, Ohio State just got their "best win", so of course that is going to
drop that team down in the rankings NOW.

The rankings use the entire body of work as a collective. So Virginia Tech's score is that good DESPITE losing to James Madison. In other words, they are still better than Iowa.

Why the last line? You defensively called my opinion asinine. It wasn't even an opinion. It's a fact. All of the numbers I posted are purely mathematically derived, no human influence. The Colley Matrix is one piece of the BCS formula.

Geez. Talk about butt hurt.

Also, I do not care what the numbers say.
The numbers said the Bengals should have had a
Playoff team this year. When they went out on the
field, they proved otherwise. All these numbers and
computers are part of the BCS system. Just because
they have a team ranked higher, does not mean they
are really better. If it did, there would never be any
upsets and no reason to actually play the game.
