Jamie_B
I didn't see this, but from what I hear, it is confusing. Is that accurate? Sandler wanted to release something raunchy and he got it with this movie. The 18-24 year old men will love it for that reason alone. I felt Rock of Ages told a good story, but I haven't seen the play so I can't compare the two.
I wasnt confused.
Bartledoo
Saw a commercial for a movie coming out named "Ted"...the sound was down on the tv (because I was waiting in line at Penn Station) but it looked hilarious. Enon Bengal
That's My Boy certainly is better than anything Sandler has released in years, but that's not saying a whole lot. I found many parts funny, but wouldn't necessarily recommend it to anyone. Everyone I went with was at least satisfied with it. Good spots with Rex Ryan. Haven't seen Rock of Ages, but it looks decent but probably not my cup of tea. Is the entire thing pretty much a musical or are there just big song/dance numbers
Did you see Grown Ups? That was non-stop laughter from beginning to end. Just Go With It was funny but not quite in the same league. Jack and Jill was better than JGWI but not as funny as GU, at least that's how our household felt.

Bengals1181
IMO The Dark Knight was aptly characterized as a mob movie that happens to have a masked hero. Similarly, I think The Dark Knight Rises is aptly being characterized as a war movie that happens to have a masked hero. Go Skins
I saw "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" last night....audience laughed at things that I don't think were meant to be laughed at and then clapped at the end. Some pretty good action scenes, but the 3-D is a conversion job and doesn't add much to the overall movie.

Go Skins
I thought I read where the whole thing was filmed with 3d cameras?
I took the glasses off a few times and there were 2-D portions. Maybe it was for a few seconds, I didn't want to want to attempt to watch all of it without glasses because I could tell in the first few minutes it would take too much out of the movie. Besides, if I wanted to pay 2-D price, I would have. I knew it wasn't filmed in IMAX, so I wasn't paying that. It was $10 yesterday at Potomac Mills for the 10:05 AM showing. You are right though, Jamie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prometheus_%28film%29 In July 2011, Lindelof stated that the film would be relying on practical effects, and employing CGI generally for on-set pre-visualization of external space visuals.[sup][84][/sup] Scott recalling advice special effects artist Douglas Trumbull gave him on the set of Blade Runner stated, "if you can do it live, do it live", with Scott claiming that although "you can pretty much do anything you want"[sup][85][/sup] with digital technology, practical effects are more cost effective.[sup][22][/sup][sup][86][/sup] Cinematographer Darius Wolski convinced Scott that it would be possible to film in 3D with the same ease and efficiency of typical filming. 3D company 3ality Technica provided some of the rigs and equipment to facilitate 3D filming, and trained the film's crew in their proper operation.[sup][87][/sup] According to Scott, the decision to film in 3D added $10 million to the film's budget.[sup][88][/sup] Since 3D films need high lighting levels on set, the hallmark atmosphere of the Alien films with darkness and shadows was added in post-production through grading processes, while the 3D equipment was based on post-Avatar technology.[sup][89][/sup][sup][90][/sup] Scott focused on using the 3D footage to increase the illusion of depth.
