Upcoming Movie Trailers

I probably went to 3 movies this entire year in the theatre. Just a big waste of money in my mind when you can just wait 6 months and watch it in your house for a dollar. I say this because it takes a ton to compel me to actually go to a movie theatre to see a movie. I have to be impatient enough to want to see it in the theatre or feel like the theatre experience will be way better. The ones I saw this year that I remember were The hangover 2, Tron(due to the effects, probably pretty crappy movie at home) and Super 8. None of them were that great.

There are quite a few in here that I want to see but the only one that I would actually go to the theatre for would be the new Batman. I will certianly see GI Joe and the new expendables at some point just because I love the mindless action genre. Jack the Giant Killer looks pretty sweet but will certainly be a rental. I cant beleive they made a new Ghost Rider. Thats hilarious. That was the worst movie I have ever seen.

I would say Mission Impossible and Tin Tin are must rents. The Grey looks pretty sweet too.

There are just a ton of crappy movies made. People who do this stuff for a living should be able to know beforehand that a movie like Ghost Rider is going ot bomb.

you have to think like a studio exec. Was ghost rider kind of a dud script wise? Sure. At the end of the day though, it made more than $100 million in profit for the studio, and that's not even counting DVD sales.

I'd say they have an idea of what they're doing.

one things for certain, studios care more about making money than making a good movie. That's not to say good movies don't still get made, but its not always the priority. The President of Universal pictures came out and said as much recently.
“[A critical hit is] great when it happens. But we did A Beautiful Mind, and I don’t know that we’d do A Beautiful Mind again. That’s the sad part. It’s great to win awards and make films that you’re proud of and make money, but your first obligation is to make money and then worry about being proud of what you do.”
I can't decide if I dislike Palestinian wannabes more than Mexican Jews. It's a tough call. What do you think?

Pls, let's not turn this thread into too much debate. I like the fact that I can come here and watch my previews and not hear shit from no one.

Now you're talking! This may be epic. I've pondered the Space Jockey for more than 30 years. Now we will get to find out! Absolutely cannot wait to see this.
