Homosexuality being genetic.

Two rednecks from Mississippi, Bubba and Cooter, decided that they
weren't going anywhere in life and thought they should go to college
to get ahead.

Bubba heads in first, and the professor advises him to take
math, history, and logic.

"What's logic?" asked Bubba.

The professor answered, "Let me give you an example.
Do you own a weed-eater?"

"I sure do." answered the redneck.

"Then I can assume, using logic, that you have a yard" replied the
professor.

"That's real good." the redneck responded in awe.

The professor continued: "Logic will also tell me that since you have
a yard, you also have a house."

Impressed, the redneck shouted, "GAWL-LEEE!!"

"And since you own a house and a house is tough to take care of by
yourself, logic dictates that you have a wife."

"Sally Mae! This is incredible!" (Bubba is obviously catching on.)

"Finally, since you have a wife, logically I can assume that you are
heterosexual rather than homosexual" said the professor.

"You're absolutely right! Why that's the most fascinatin' thing I
ever heard of. I can't wait to take this here logic class."

Bubba, proud of the new world opening up to him, walked back into
the hallway where Cooter is still waiting.

"So what classes are ya takin?" Cooter asks.

"Math, history, and logic," replies Bubba.

"What in tarnation is logic?"

Let me give you an example. "Do ya own a weed-eater?"

"No."

"You're a queer, ain't ya?"
Why couldn't you be gay, if it's simply a matter of choice?
Well, women don't have to be attracted to men to have sex with them. It's much easier for a gay woman to pretend to like men, than for a gay man to pretend to like women.
But I never decided to prefer women. I just do. I can remember when I was too young to even be in kindergarten, like 4 years old, had a crush on the girl next door. Made me feel tingly inside. Never had that kind of feeling about a boy.
[post="99749"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]
All great points. Of course you`re speaking from your own experiences.
What stimuli you have encountered...the nurturing that you have
recieved.

I don`t see how another person can kill in cold blood...but that doesn`t
mean they were "born" to do so...
In the sense that it be genetic, you could blame all sexuality on genetics. Sluts are born that way, etc. There is no control over your own body, don't worry about it, you were born that way.

NM, I give up on the human race... Since it gave up on itself.
[post="99591"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]
Being a slut or being a prude are based on your environment. and decisions you make. You could either of these as a homosexual or a heterosexual. Homosexuality is NOT based on your environment. Whether you act on those feelings is molded by your environment , but having the feelings is genetic. I know a few guys who were raised by all women, with no male role model and none of them are gay. The gay friends I have come from nuclear families.

And how was the father/son relationship?

Did these guys have homosexual experiences as children?

Show me a study that proves it's genetic.

If it is genetic, why are there any examples of people who have successfully come out of the lifestyle?

If you have ever spent long periods of time with some dude that was just "on fire" you would know that it was genetic .... and that you couldn't pretend or make yourself have those mannerisms etc...... Now there might be environmental issues in play for those women for instance wo are raped by a man and then turn lesbian , or bi sexuals.... but good ol 100 % Homos ae def genetic.....

My opinion is that most gay individuals are born gay, you can tell right away, the tom-boy with broad shoulders that looks and acts like a guy, you knew she was gay from the time you were 8 years old or the guy who was sissified, couldn't throw a football or play any sports but was hell with barbies with the girls in the neighborhood, you knew he was gay from the git go and you wasn't suprised that he was into stick pussy when he grew up

Not to say that the enviroment doesn't turn some people gay but I think the majority are born gay

There are many more studies out there that document nurturing's failure to "define" a person's sexuality.

Like the THOUSANDS of people who are born with genetic defects where they have BOTH sex organs and the parent's have to CHOOSE which ones to keep. They raise the children as the sex they chose, but many times, the children just can't accept the chosen role and have sex changes as adults.

First off, if nature can screw up in the first place and give someone both organs, whose to say nature couldn't screw up and give one organ, but a mixup of hormones?

Good book to read, "As Nature Made Him"

You just helped prove my point BengalSis. You just said that the homosexual person is screwed up and has the wrong hormones. They are a genetic defect by this definition. It is only giving them a reason to feel sorry for themselves, instead of helping them to feel strong and secure. Victimization, in my opinion.

I didn't help you prove anything. You took what you wanted out of my example.

So you are trying to say that if these "defective people" didn't feel sorry for themselves and felt secure that they still wouldn't behave in the way the hormones would lead them to? That's like telling a pregnant woman to suck it up and be nice when she is hormonal. Have you SEEN a hormonal pregnant lady? Sorry, but you need to think a little harder on this one.

Who in their right mind would CHOOSE a lifestyle that destroyed their families, made them be ridiculed, and alienated them from people.

Nature isn't perfect. And maybe it isn't supposed to be. Why else would the word tolerance be in the dictionary....or the bible for that matter?

People make exactly that choice every day. People choose to have affairs. People choose to use drugs. People choose to gamble their money away. People choose to use porn, and get "addicted".

well, i have a pregnant lady right here *points to wife on couch* and when she gets "hormonal" or "being bitchy" as i call it, i say "how about you stop being rude as shit about itand go do something else" and she realises her being bitchy and nkocks it the hell off... this is a weak example, but people can control thier reactions to whatever they want, you dont have to be a total bitch for any reason at any time, the ol hormone thing is a cop-out, perhaps, they should "suck it up" and show some self control, just because you dont feel well or are in pain or what have you, doesnt mean you can be a shithead to anyone else.

This is horrible generalization right here. Have you ever been to a "gay" bar, or at least a "gay" tolerant bar? Some of the people you see there are not what you would consider gay just by looking at them. Also, I have seen some of these boys that you call sissies become quite the stud with the ladies when they grow up. You see, while you were out in the mud wrestling with the guys, they were getting to know the mind of females while they play Barbie.

One other thing to add to my last post. This could also help with the nurturing argument. A boy who is not born to be a big muscle bound guy might become gay, like you said, but maybe it's because society has pushed him in that direction, since he doesn't have what it takes to be straight.
