E. RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The Bengals were down only two wide receivers when they announced their active players Sunday night before their preseason game with the Jets at the New Meadowlands after finishing their preseason opener with one healthy one.

Rookies [url="http://www.bengals.com/team/roster/ryan-whalen/e84aa0ea-6783-4841-a7a0-9394d3be48cc/"][color=#f04e23]Ryan Whalen[img]http://www.bengals.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif[/img][/color][/url] and [url="http://www.bengals.com/team/roster/landon-cox/862fe5e7-cd74-4c1a-9418-1691672954d0/"][color=#f04e23]Landon Cox[img]http://www.bengals.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif[/img][/color][/url], believed to be fighting muscle pulls, were out, but tight end [url="http://www.bengals.com/team/roster/jermaine-gresham/66ed6d24-c4c8-45c3-83d8-438594e91723/"][color=#f04e23]Jermaine Gresham[img]http://www.bengals.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif[/img][/color][/url] was active after practicing only once this week.

Cornerback [url="http://www.bengals.com/team/roster/brandon-ghee/d80d60e7-64a7-4899-83c1-584fb95fae5d/"][color=#f04e23]Brandon Ghee[img]http://www.bengals.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif[/img][/color][/url] (hamstring) and safety [url="http://www.bengals.com/team/roster/gibril-wilson/2cf8a658-7ec9-4cc7-916a-e3ac7eb354f7/"][color=#f04e23]Gibril Wilson[img]http://www.bengals.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif[/img][/color][/url] (knee) were out for the second straight week. The club is trying to bring Wilson back for the last two preseason games. Sunday marked the 366th day since his ACL injury. Left end [url="http://www.bengals.com/team/roster/carlos-dunlap/4a065377-8081-4dc1-a80f-daf22d74ba67/"][color=#f04e23]Carlos Dunlap[img]http://www.bengals.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif[/img][/color][/url] (knee), who didn't practice all week and also missed the opener, was out again. The Bengals won't have another end in Jon Fanene, since he didn't report to practice last week and was out.

Same here! I'd like to see them cross into opponent territory on at least half their possessions.

Want to see some play makers on both sides of the ball make some big plays.
