November 3, 200421 yr Author comment_7402 Its strange that the most famous sport in the world is not very liked in the US. I liked the way the simpsons put it, but still I like it alot, so I just doubt. Report
November 3, 200421 yr comment_7745 I played soccer year round from the ages of five until I was about seventeen. It is a really, really fun sport to play but I admit that maybe outside of the World Cup I can't bear to watch it. It's kinda like bowling...fun to play, but who watches it on TV (unless it's a Kingpin DVD...)? I loved playing soccer and I regret giving it up. I was a goalkeeper and I was pretty good at it too. A great sport for kids to play because of it's team emphasis, and it's great exercise. But ultimately, boring to watch on television. Those pro players are all so damn good that nobody can score! You have to embrace it in Central America because you can't escape it! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is totally true. Actually when I was small I played it, but then I left it. I really allways wanted to play football, but here in mexico its very hard, because even if it is so big, the only football places are really far, so there was no was that I would ever train, so they never left me. Since the only sport you can do very much here is soccer, then I started playing it again, and remember the love I had for it. Its very nice sport and I agree with your thoughts about the scoring, because the strength and conditioning are becoming a bigger factor by the day. You can still watch some magic plays though!!! An as for the score, since its so clos I like going to the stadium, I agree TV is not as fun though. Report
