Some of these are tempting to bet on the over.

It's amazing to me the things you can sometimes bet on. I'm sure, somewhere during the season, there will be somebody willing to put money down, against huge odds, that Cedric Benson's pants will be pulled down the third time he's tackled by Ray Lewis and that tackle will take place on the Ravens' 30-yard line.

Okay, so maybe not that drastic, but close.

BoDog has come out with over/unders for specific Bengals players and Joe Reedy was nice enough to share them with us.

I'm not a huge gambler but maybe some of you are. If so, which ones seem like safe bets and which ones would you stay away from?

AJ Green over 3 1/2 touchdowns. (6' 4" receiver will be targeted at least once each time inside the 10)

Benson over 1100 yards. (Gruden wants to run, Benson will get 75% of carries)

AJ Green over 650 yards. (Best reciever on team, only needs to avg. 41 yards a game.)

I like Dalton over 12 1/2 tds. (If he starts the whole year, besides Pit and Balt, plays against some very poor defenses, plus bengals will be playing against a lot of prevent defense late)

Dunlap under 9 1/2 sacks. (History shows Bengals players regress, most teams will have a lead, will run the ball to protect lead)

barring injuries I think the bolded are really good bets, as well as the marvin being fired one.

Ya that has got to be about one of the best bets a Bengal fan or anyone could make.No way Marvin is fired at all in 2011
let alone to be the first one fired in reg season.

those Green #s both look like free money. Way over on both.

I'd imagine that in a practical sense betting all the overs would be pretty safe. They have to be moving the levels down from where they think they are to get some action. Nobody is going crazy to bet on Andy Dalton's stats.

I'd be tempted to bet the over on the 2700yds. Especially if the team is playing from behind at times. It's only 169yds per game.

Andy Dalton passing yards: 2,700 - it's safer to take the under in case he misses games due to injury or he struggles.

Andy Dalton touchdowns: 12 1/2 - Take the under - see above

Andy Dalton interceptions: 15 1/2 - That's a big number. I would go under but would avoid it.

Cedric Benson rushing yards: 1,110 - The safer play is under due to possible injury, legal issues, or falling behind in games

Cedric Benson rushing touchdowns: 7 - Over.

A.J. Green receiving yards: 650 - Over - great bet!

A.J. Green receiving touchdowns: 3 1/2 - Over - best bet of the day!!!!

Jordan Shipley receiving yards: 650 - Over but wouldn't play it.

Odds of Marvin Lewis being the first coach fired in the 2011 regular season: 15/2 - the safe play, just due the fact of other coaches in the league, is that Marvin will not be the first coach fired. No play.

I dont think the INT number is high, Eli Manning had 25 ints last year remember.
I don't think the INT number is too high, though I don't think it will be much higher than that either. I foresee them keeping Dalton in mostly his percentage situations all year like the Rams did with Bradford.

Always go under on these. Not anti-Bengals, but they set those lines high because fans will want to bet on the overs.
Not sure if that is logical though because Bengal fans would be the only ones inclined to do that I would think?

Mostly Bengals fans would be betting on these and mostly fans are optimistic so most $$$ would be on the overs.

Vegas knows this. That's why the sharps usually bet the unders on all the fun bets. The public money always goes on the fun side. Poeple like to cheer for stuff.

I have a couple questions about Bodog.

1) How safe is Bodog?

2) How do you deposit money into your account?
1 From what experience I have had I can testify it is safe. 2 Once you are signed in it is very easy and self explanatory.

with debit or credit card or bank account, like he said, its basic and easy.. i have been using bodog for 6 years now... i have an affiliate account with them too, so if you DO sign up, click the banner at the top of the page to do so... helps me/the site out BIG TIME...

i bet a bunch in 2004, paid for 2 road trips in 205, lost about $75 in 2005, stopped, bet here and there won $125 on superbowl betting $25, then bet on early mens NCAA games, make it $180-ish, bet on woemsn ncaa championship, made it $383... waiting for week 3-4 to bet on some games..

my biggest bet was last year, i did a 3 team parlay, turned 300-350-ish into 2400...

overall im up about 3 grand on bodog...but have stopped betting on the bengals for the most part..
