CLEVELAND - [b]KICKOFF:[/b] Bengals and Browns at 1p.m. at Cleveland Browns Stadium

[b]RENEWAL:[/b] It's the 76th time that the Bengals and Browns have met during the regular season. The Bengals lead the series 39-36.

[b]DID YOU KNOW?[/b] You might think that the Browns have been the most prevalent opponent for the Bengals. Not so. The Bengals have faced the Pittsburgh Steelers 116 times.

[b]TRIBUTE:[/b] They're asking fans to be in their seats at 12:30 for a special 9/11 tribute. Fans will receive an American flag as they enter the stadium. There will be a special performance of "Tap", followed by a moment of silence. Local first responders and members of the Ohio National Guard and Marines will hold a field-length American flag during the performance of the National Anthem.

[b]ODDS:[/b] The Browns are a 6 1/2 point favorite.

[b]HARDLY IMPRESSIVE:[/b] The Browns are 1-11 in openers since 1999. The Bengals are 6-13 in road openers.

[b]TENURE:[/b] Marvin Lewis begins his ninth season, passing Paul Brown and Sam Wyche as the longest-tenured coach in Bengals history.

[b]HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW YOUR BROWNS QUARTERBACKS?[/b] Colt McCoy becomes the tenth different quarterback to start a season opener for the Browns since 1999. Can you name the previous nine?

[b]NATIONAL COVERAGE:[/b] CBS has the game. Kevin Harlan has the call and Solly Wilcots has the analysis.

[b]LOCAL COVERAGE:[/b] I'll be blogging my brains out during the game on WCPO.com. Photographer Mark Slaughter will be on the sidelines with a different perspective on the game. We'll be live on Channel 9 at 6 and 11. Meijer Sports of All Sorts will originate from Cleveland at 11:35. Mike Martin and Jim Breech will be live at our studio to answer questions and comments about the game.

[b]SPLIT:[/b] In 2010, the Bengals won this game in Cincinnati and the Browns won in Cleveland.

[b]GOOD STREAK:[/b] The Bengals have won ten of the last 13 games played between these two teams. Since the Browns rebirth in 1999, the Bengals are 15-9 against Cleveland.

[b]THE MARVIN TOUCH:[/b] The Bengals teams coached by Marvin Lewis are 11-5 against the Browns.

[b]QUESTION:[/b] Is there anything more maddening than wi-fi service in a hotel?

[b]BIG ATTRACTION:[/b] When the Bengals played the Browns for the first time in Cleveland in 1970, the attendance was 83, 520 at Cleveland Municipal Stadium. For 34 years, that was the largest crowd to ever see a Bengals game. That was eclipsed in 2004, when 87,786 fans saw the Bengals beat the Redskins in Washington.

[b]KNOW YOUR BROWNS QUARTERBACKS-THE ANSWER:[/b] Here's the long list of Cleveland quarterbacks who have started opening day games in the last ten years. Ty Detmer, Tim Couch, Kelly Holcomb, Jeff Garcia, Trent Dilfer, Charlie Frye, Derek Anderson, Brady Quinn and Jake Delhomme. Garcia was the best of the bunch.

Walking into stadium for the Browns-Bengals game. Saw a Browns fan in a jersey with the name "The Beast" on the back. It was a woman.

Our D-Line is a lot better than people realize and I think our O-Line has really improved - and is better than people give us credit for (although Bobby being replaced by Boiling has me concerned). And these two strengths fit very well with the Brown's weaknesses today.
Today is the day Zimmer finally uncaps his D, and the Browns won't have an answer.
And I think we run all day to the left side of the line (big day for B. Scott, anyone?).
The spread on bodog right now is 7 pts. I laid down some cash.
