This loss is on the coaches, 110%

1.  How do you not give Curtis Samuel the ball more?  He's your best offensive weapon.  On his first run from scrimmage he scores on a 75 yard TD run, then he only sees a few more carries in the game, in what world does this make sense?  It's like last year during the MSU game when Zeke barely saw the ball...it makes no sense.

2.  Their D-Line was killing our O-Line, yet we still lined up in empty back sets giving the tackles no help.  JT was running for his life back there, if you line is struggling, you have to help them out.  The greatest QB in the world can't do anything behind a line that's not protecting him.

3.  Short passing game?  If the line isn't blocking, how about running some shorter, quicker routes?  Get the ball out of the QB's hands a little quicker...this would also help set up some double moves later in the game

4.  Dontre Wilson continues to return punts for what reason again?  He cost us field position all game, yet they continue to roll him back there on 4th downs.

5.  Why rush a long FG attempt?  If it didn't get blocked he probably would have missed it anyway as it was pretty long.  Call a time out and get set up, you had control of the game at that point.  Instead, it gets blocked and returned for a TD...

6.  Hurry up offense?  It took us 3 minutes to move 30 yards with 4 minutes left in the game.  There was NO urgency.  That's the ideal time to get the calls in quicker and stop trying to audible with 10 seconds left on the play clock.  horrible game management!

There's no excuse for this coaching staff

For the first time under Urban, special teams cost us that game.

But the OTs and the passing offense (or lack there of) contributed as well.

If those 2 things don't get significantly better we're not beating that team up north.

Has to feel great, particularly after the shitstorm of the past few years for your Nitany Lions...

Ohio State has the best red zone defense in college football.

Quote

Toughest Red Zone defenses in CFB: 1 #OhioState (2.85 pts per RZ trip). 2 #VaTech (3.00) 3. #Auburn (3.14) 4. #Badgers(3.16) per BrianMason

That means they are giving up less than a FG per opponent trip inside the 20.

That's freaking amazing.
