-GoBengals- Posted February 22, 2012 Report Share Posted February 22, 2012 set the dell on fire and get a new computer? or... grab a new AC adapter on amazon or ebay and see if that fixes it, they should be rather cheap... it might be shorting out or something... or the battery is toast and jacking it up... MichaelWeston Posted February 22, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 22, 2012 Tried some stuff and called Dell. They are having it fixed asap. They think its the Motherboard. Had 0 problems with it before this but I don't do gaming or movies. Their customer service was excellent...so far. Bought it at best buy for $450 about a year ago and it has been well worth it. |Montana Bengal| Posted February 22, 2012 Report Share Posted February 22, 2012 Sounds like an adaptor issue to me....and I'm sure that I've had this on other Dell machines I've had. I'd keep an eye on your machine. I sent it in to get my vid card replaced, and the accidentally replaced it with a card with less ram - TWICE. Good news was they replaced the motherboard for no reason at all. After a third issue (I think it got lost for a week)....they sent me a new machine! I googled it and it seems to be a pretty common issue. Glad mine was under warranty. Thanks for the headsup on their odd practices. I will have to watch them.
