Squirrlnutz
Its not flashy but I think midway through 2013 we'll call Marvin a genius for this pick. Unless Hall starts the season on PUP I think we won't see much of Dre, but he'll get good on the job training and be a starter next year.
Tigris
I small portion of me wanted Janoris Jenkins went Goodell went up there. I'm not big on Kirkpatrick. I sure hope he knocks the hell out of Mike Wallace though!
JC
I just worry about his playmaking ability. No picks, forced fumbles, or sacks last year. We are sorely lacking in playmaking ability back there. I do like the versatility though. Wouldn't complain if we get our hands on JJ tomorrow. oldschooler
Bengals sweated Kirkpatrick pick 1 minute ago - by Paul Dehner Jr. Cincinnati entered Thursday knowing they needed to go to bed with a new, elite cornerback on their team. Corners were falling off the board, and the Bengals were feeling the nerves with CB Dre Kirkpatrick still dangling. “We highlighted only a couple of corners,” defensive backs coach Mark Carrier said. “He was one of them. It was getting [to be] nut-cracking time coming down to the pick.” Cincinnati Bengals RapidReports | All National Football League RapidReports

bengaled
the best part of kirkpatrick is his level of preparation. if nick saban is has a forte, it's getting his DBs ready for the NFL. he understands the position, being both a former DB himself along with his coaching career starting in this area. plain and simple, his DBs are as well prepared for the next level as any in the college ranks. kirkpatrick may have his limitations, but we'll just need to keep him in situations where those issues get minimized. mark my words, he'll see a lot more playing time than many expect this year.
