Bengals1181
I found some videos on YouTube I'd like to burn to a DVD. Is that even possible and if so can anyone recommend how to begin going about it?
|Elflocko|
Do you want to burn it so you can throw it in a DVD player and watch it on a TV or something similar?

|Elflocko|
Download them and use Windows DVD Maker or Windows Movie Maker to burn them (considering you're using 7 or Vista). Next question is do you know how to download them?

|Elflocko|
If you're not already using Firefox, download and install it. Go here and install the ANT plugin Download videos.
Bengals1181
hmmm Movie Maker is giving me this error even though VLC Player is capable of playing the .webm files. "cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again." |Elflocko|
VLC can play hieroglyphics, but that isn't helping you at the moment. You need to convert the file to a format that Movie Maker can read (.MOV I think?) or see if there's a setting in Ant that will allow you to change the format as I can't remember at the moment. I think you can convert the file in VLC...
|Montana Bengal|
I just usually hit http://keepvid.com/ and then paste the url. It'll allow you to download some different formats.

Bengals1181
have to find myself a different movie program to use. Even after using keepvid.com the other day to get .mp4 files I'm still getting the same codec error above from Windows Movie Maker.
MULLY
Cyberlink Power Director is a great program and it won't cost you half your ass to get it. MULLY you can also download a 30 day trial of this software. It works fine but there is a watermark for the first 10 seconds of the video, up in the top left corner. As you can see in my award winning video below. hahahaha!!! Scoutforlife591
Another Firefox extension, but I prefer downloadhelper.net It'll download everything, and it has a click to convert (I believe conversion still has a watermark though). BengalBacker
You should be able to convert it out of VLC. Open VLC, Click the media tab, and near the bottom is Convert/Save. At least it's there on mine. Click that and it lets you browse for your file and has several conversion options.
yea I saw that awhile back but it wouldn't work. I found a converter lastnight that would cooperate so I was able to convert the .mp4's into .wmv's. Now I'm just working on burning them into a DVD that will work in a DVD player.
Bengals1181
wooo, I'm in business. Got it to work, though after converting them to .wmv I'm now gonna have to put them on 3 DVD's instead of just 1. Ended up using your program Mully after they were converted to .wmv's. Thanks again.
