mongo Posted July 3, 2012 Report Share Posted July 3, 2012 Quick Question: I picked up one of the new Airport Express Base Stations (yay gift cards!), and am having some difficulties. What I want to do is configure it so when I'm at my father's place, I can plug it into his modem and create a decent wireless network (his wireless router barely extends B to the next room, and totally doesn't reach the guest bedroom). I pulled it out of the box, connected an ethernet cable between my Airport Extreme and the new Express (into the WAN), then made an ethernet connection between the Express and my laptop. I was able to make the appropriate settings changes (I think), but can't get it to work. The Express isn't finding an internet connection to create a network. Have I done something wrong? Do I have something in my Extreme's settings that disables the ability to create a network from that network? If so, how do I fix that? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
