Nawwww... go old school.

Bo Bo Brazil Co Co Bumps The Sheik ... didn't Bo Bo's grandson play wide receiver for up for a year or so?
It was the Coco Butt... his signature move. Very old school!

There was a WR here - Bennie Brazzell. That who you were thinking of? He got hurt here and was on IR - had great speed.
I believe he's coaching track now.

The Coco butt was Coco B. Wares move. The old guy is actually Bobo Brazil. He is from right here in good old Lima Ohio. His brother worked with my dad for years at a steel foundry.

Right, I remember Bobo Brazill when I was a little kid - he'd changed to his name when he became a wrestler. I remember Coco B Ware, too. Bobo is about 30 years older than Coco B Ware and I remember when Bobo used the Coco Butt. Guess both used it.

What a dumb kid I was, his last name wasn't even spelled the same. Although he apparently was a boxer who got beat up by George Foreman.

Anyone else thinking it's time to move this thread to the around the nfl section? Chad isn't a Bengal.
Yep. Never should have been here in the first place IMO...

A guy blamed the Bengals for a former Bengal, who is the Team's All-Time leader in receiving, for getting into trouble.
And it had 9 pages of comments. Of course it belonged here/there. I really don't even know why it was suggested to
be moved to begin with. But oh well.

Upon further review, Hard Knocks footage of Chad was not out of bounds

Andrew Whitworth knows from experience the rollercoaster of what life is like when your team is on Hard Knocks. So when it came to asking for an opinion on the footage of Chad Johnson’s release from Miami that was aired on Tuesday’s show, Whitworth brought up the point that anything is fair game for the cameras.

“At times some of those things can be embarrassing for guys but its part of it. If you want to be in the limelight some times not only are the positive things are in that light,” he said.

When the Bengals appeared on the show in 2009, one of the storylines that players were worried about was Ben Utecht’s concussion, which ended his career. In conversations that head coach Marvin Lewis had with Utecht, some players were concerned with how much or what part would be aired.

As for the footage of Johnson being cut, the Dolphins do get to see a rough cut of the episode before it airs, meaning they can object to certain things. Also keep in mind that since it is produced by NFL Films, there is always going to be the part of making sure that the team remains in a positive light.

Added Whitworth: “Its one of those deals where I think they wanted to be open and wanted people to realize exactly how it went. That part of it is good, the show is for real and what really happens does happen.

“Honestly for most people they think that’s tough but at least that was personal. A lot of guys who have busted their tails for a long time just have some other guy that is staffed by the team tell them to get their books and send them home. That is much more offensive to me than actually getting a chance to sit down with the head coach and being told you’re gone. A lot of guys put in all this time and get shipped home and never have a chance to say goodbye to the head coach or anyone else.”

In looking back on the Hard Knocks experience though, Whitworth did think that everything did go well for the Bengals.

Yeah, you're probably right. Sorry. I didn't move it but I did suggest it. I just grew sick of Chad years ago and hoped that him leaving the team would mean we didn't have to talk about him anymore, of course I can just ignore the thread. Assuming Elflocko moved it, if he's ok with moving it back, I don't care.

Yeah, same here.

And Old, that wasn't intended as a slight against you in any way, and was a poorly worded comment. My point was that though it had legitimate ties to the Bengals when first posted it had devolved into a discussion about a guy who no longer plays on the team.

So, my mistake and feel free to move it back if you so desire...

Looks like there are some legitimate studies to back up that claim:

I was skeptical as well...

Bottom line is if you felt Chad was heading down a bad road, and you are related to him... in the same profession.... playing the same position... and did nothing to help change his path? You have no credibility with me to even voice an opinion and place the blame on others. ....... but seriously ... the way it seems to run is many/most men to not report it so no solid data to support
thus no source to cite.
Also, when women abuse men, they tend to USE something to do it.

Carson Palmer: No room for Chad Johnson on Raiders

Oakland Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer played alongside Chad Johnson for seven seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, forming one of the better QB-WR combos in franchise history.
Johnson's rather epic free fall from grace has him looking for work, but it's unlikely teams will come calling any time soon -- especially the Raiders.

Oakland's young group of receivers is banged up after two preseason games. Jacoby Ford is in a protective boot after injuring his foot. Denarius Moore's hamstring remains a nuisance, and Darrius Heyward-Bey is back at practice after spraining his shoulder in last Friday's loss to the Cardinals.

Despite the rash of injuries, Palmer sees no reason to upset the apple cart by signing Johnson -- but it's nothing personal.

"I had a great time playing with Chad. I had no issues with him at all. He'd be a great add for any team but we've got young guys that are just coming along," Palmer told Comcast SportsNet California, via its Bay Area affiliate. "I mean Denarius will be back any day. Jacoby's deal is not that bad. So we're not going to give up on any of those guys. They're too good of players and young."

Palmer's excitement over the Raiders' collection of pass-catchers is mostly justified. Along with Moore and Ford, Heyward-Bey comes off his best season, while Rod Streater has turned heads in recent weeks. Chad Johnson to the Raiders might have made sense in some bygone season under Al Davis, but coach Dennis Allen and friends have nothing to gain by adding the 34-year-old sideshow in 2012.

Palmer stressed that he "got along great" with Johnson back in the day and offered encouragement for his friend: "Chad's going to bounce back. He's been through a lot, not just in his NFL career, but throughout his entire life. I know Chad will bounce back."
