“It is with great sadness and much trepidation that I release this statement addressing the domestic violence incident that happened this past Saturday. I am deeply disappointed that Chad has failed to take responsibility for his actions and made false accusations against me, it is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs to overcome his troubles. Domestic violence is not okay and hopefully my taking a stand will help encourage other women to break their silence as well. I’m grateful to my family, friends and fans for the outpouring of support during this difficult time,”

I'm pretty much 100% sure this is this female's ploy into getting her name back out there. Chad wasn't gonna bring her up that much with his career failing away. She needed to reinvent herself as something other than the crazy, ratchet hoodrat fuck that people have seen her as for years on tv now. Now she's gonna try to be a "face of domestic violence". Fuck. Her.

Keyshawns quote reminds me of something that belongs in the J&D forum... why is it never a grown mans fault when (if) he breaks the law/makes bad decisions? Always the fault of some collective/company/team/society... never the man/womans own bad decision making.

Having said that, I have been tired of Chads act for a long time, but I also hate to see this happen to him and wonder if he just got set up...

I'm kind of with BAB on this one... I have a hard time as well believing she isn't behind this somehow- she is an absolute nutcase live-wire.

Yes, I thought the same thing when I read this article. However, the J&O forum is a little biased. So, in other words it probably is the fault of everyone here that Chad is who he is. Afterall, Chad didn't become a football player by himself... He had a whole group of people who put him there... oops. Sorry, didn't mean to get this put there. However, it is not my fault, it is everyone else's fault because I didn't make this post by myself. :ninja:

Realistically though, Chad knew what he was marrying before he married her. You don't just go around head butting everyone who has an argument with you. Otherwise, your head would be hurting all the time.

They had a show on VH1 starting in three weeks. Her name was gonna be out there already.

When I was watching hard knocks I just can't help but see how stupid chad is acting for his age and being a veteran nfl player. The F bombs that he was dropping in the press conference,
the I guarantee I am going to get arrested on the weekend, interrupting the meeting of the coaches, talking about his wife giving him pussy etc....What grown man does this? The writing was
on the wall. I would have also cut his ass if I was the coach or GM.

And if you are arguing on the internet, that can run into quite an expense for new monitors...

Seems to me some celebrity love spats abuse 911/Police as away to get back at the other party. But Domestic Violence is serious business and you can have law enforcement picking and choosing.

Who knows? Chad might be close to an OJ vs. heated squabble.

Eve has filed for divorce. Hope Chad had a pre-nup.
I don't know anything about Florida laws, but given they have only been married 5 weeks she shouldn't be entitled to much if anything. I know in Ohio she would only be entitled to the wealth accumulated during the marriage. Anything he brought in is his and likewise with her.

wasn't she married to a famous basketball player when he met her?

B.A.B. Nailed it. Marriages now a days scare the crap outta me. I have been single for 4 yrs but dating on and off. I like my life
way better like this than being with someone 24/7 and having her spend my cheese.

Antoine Walker. She bled him dry and then divorced

I think its time for Chad to grow up and get his life in order. As a Bengals fan I am happy the organization has moved on from Chad. I would much reather talk about how A.J. Green is over 10 years younger and twice as mature! It is a great time to be a Bengals fan so lets quit wasting our time talking about Chad I mean Ocho I mean Chad the hell with it!!

Evelyn Lozada files for divorce

NEW YORK -- Evelyn Lozada is ending her 41-day-old marriage to Chad Johnson after the football star was arrested for allegedly head-butting her over the weekend.

Danika Berry, a rep for the VH1 reality star, confirmed reports that Lozada filed for divorce on Tuesday.

Earlier, Lozada issued a statement saying Johnson -- cut by the Miami Dolphins after the Saturday arrest -- "needs help." She also said that he was lying when he told police she head-butted him.

The two were married July 4 after their courtship was detailed on VH1's "Basketball Wives." Their nuptials were to be part of the VH1 reality show "Ev & Ocho," but it's now been shelved.
The altercation allegedly occurred after Lozada questioned him about a receipt for condoms that she found.

On Tuesday afternoon, Johnson released a statement:

"I would like to apologize to everyone for the recent events that have occurred. I would like to wish Evelyn well and will never say anything bad about her because I truly love her to death. I will continue to be positive and train hard for another opportunity in the NFL. To all the fans and supporters I have disappointed, you have my sincerest apologies. I will stay positive and get through this tough period in my life."
