New York -- August 29, 2012 -- Caught Looking will air Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network, and will feature a behind-the-scenes look at this past weekend’s series between the Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals, as both teams fight for a postseason berth.

Major League Baseball Productions embedded camera crews with both teams throughout the three-game series, providing a unique perspective on all the action between the lines as the Cardinals tried to close the gap between themselves and the National League Central Division leading Reds, while maintaining their grasp on one of the two NL Wild Card spots.

In addition to exclusive commentary from star players on both sides, the episode features compelling in-game audio throughout the series, highlighted by Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips, who wore a wireless microphone during Saturday’s game, in which he went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 RBI in the Reds’ 8-2 win. The episode also features in-depth interviews with managers Dusty Baker and Mike Matheny, as well as Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright and Reds pitcher Bronson Arroyo. Off the field, a camera crew walked to the ballpark with rookie of the year candidate Todd Frazier, while another crew tagged along for a cab ride with Cardinals center fielder Jon Jay.

Brandon Phillips put on quite a show for NBC Sports Channel’s new ”Caught Looking” one-hour pennant race series (9 p.m. Thursday) shot last weekend here during the Reds-Cardinals series. (Remember to DVR it if you’re watching the Bengals game Thursday night!)

Phillips and coach Billy Hatcher wore microphones for MLB Productions last weekend, when the Reds retired Barry Larkin’s #11. I just saw a clip which shows Zack Cozart doing a 360 fielding a ball up the middle, and Phillips jokingly says: “You make it look so easy. Barry who?”

A MLB crew also “spent time with rookie of the year candidate Todd Frazier, as he walked to the ballpark for a game,” and features the Larkin pregame ceremony, says a NBC Sports Network publicist.

For Cardinals fans, the publicist says, “Adam Wainwright also agreed to wear a microphone during one of the games. Camera crews also spent some time around the batting cage with Mark McGwire. And the team from MLB Productions went along for an entertaining taxi ride with Jon Jay.”

“Caught Looking” airs weekly through Oct. 4, the day after the regular season ends. Each show promises “an exclusive look inside a specific weekend series, as Major League Baseball Productions cameras follow players, managers and front office personnel from both teams. Cameras will follow the two respective teams as they arrive at the ballpark, take batting practice, compete and prepare for each game. A different series will be featured in each episode, as the final eight weeks of the season unfolds,” NBC announced earlier this month.

“Caught Looking” will air a special World Series recap on Nov. 8.

Anyone know what channel that is on DirecTV?
Channel 603 NBC Sports Network Moving to channel 220 on unspecified date per August/September 2012 DirecTV customer newsletter.

So it looks like either channel 603 or 220.

There are 2 listings.. One from 9-10 and then from 10-11 (they are listed as separate shows). Is it 1 or 2 hours? Are they just running it twice? I would prefer to record the later one if it is a rerun...

The other ones I have seen have just been one hour shows so I would guess it is just a rerun but I can not say for sure.

Did you miss it?
NBC Sports Network's 'Caught Looking' was pretty cool. Fantastic stuff from Brandon Phillips and Todd Frazier. They were the stars and the main focus of the hour. Their personalities were on full display. We saw, once again, how much this Reds team enjoys being around each other. The cameras followed Todd walking to the ballpark and meeting fans. Great stuff from Arroyo, Bruce and Cozart on Dusty.

Highlights:
*“there is no team in the National Leauge, or in baseball, that we really fear anymore. We are seasoned enough and we feel like we have enough weapons to win the whole thing”- Bronson Arroyo
*“we expect to win..I think that’s a huge deal. We come to the ballpark everyday expecting to win. - Jay Bruce
*“he’s behind us. He’s got our backs”— Bruce on Dusty
*"he takes care of us, if we look tired he gets us a day off"-Cozart on Baker
*“Hey, rookie, get me some water”. Migue Cairo to Frazier. Frazier fills a cup of water and brings it to Cario. Laughter in dugout.
*Mat Lato asked Billy Hatcher if he could double steal after he reached first on a single! Hatcher: "noooooo, you can’t double steal."
*"Sinker, sinker, sinker. That's sinking like a mother. That's alright, I'll just get up on the plate on his ^%$. Brandon on Jamie Garcia
*Interesting how much fun and talking went on between Phillips and Cardinals.
He said, "What up dog?, and "it's a good day to get famous", to Cards catcher Tony Cruz. He laughed and patted 1B Allen Craig on the back when he beat him back to the bag.
*Adam Wainright was complaining about the way duguouts are built. He's 6'7 and has trouble seeing over the dugout rail when he's standing. A Cardinal complaining? Shocking.
*Frazier told bench coach Chris Speier that he reminded him of Ric Flair, with his 'silver fox' hair.
*Mark Sheldon and Hal McCoy made cameos.
*Hal said Baker deserves his 4th Manager of the Year award.

I thought the stats they presented on Baker were very interesting.. Didn't realize he had more wins than any active manager? They really made him sound awesome. I know people get frustrated with Baker but he really is a pretty good manager. Like he points out, it's wins that matter, and as unconventional as he is, his ball clubs win for him.
