What are you talkin

What are you talking about?
That's bogus! I know I have seen him do voice overs for Family Guy and or other Seth McFarlane shows. I knew he worked with Matt Groening and crew. Everybody does Robot Chicken, looks like they have him on speed dial. Seriously...he has never done and of McFarlane's shows?

You better screen capture this, I was wrong. :suicide:

I guess if you limit the genre to American made family films, the Toy Story series is pretty good.. But to say it's the best of all time is kind of absurd if you are actually into the genre of animated films. I have to admit I found little miss sunshine a fun watch, but I don't equate the style of either of these films to what I want out of a Star Wars movie.

This.

Obviously this guy has writing cred, but I'd have liked to have seen someone who has some sort of sci-fi writing cred.

Well see I guess.

a good gauge will be how he does with Catching Fire, which is currently shooting and coming out next November.

Little Miss Sunshine is one of the most over rated movies of the last 5ish years. I simply don't get why it so many awards.
I thought it was fun and different, but agree that it shouldn't have won awards and is massivly overrated.

I really hope not, this would be a lame lame story imo, unless they did it in a way that it isnt Anikin but a clone (somewhat similiar to the Zahan series)

Star Wars VII: Will Darth Vader 'Rise from the Ashes'?

Rumor has it the Sith Lord will return for Disney's Star Wars film.

Okay, here's your crazy-ass Star Wars rumor of the day. As we know, Darth Vader bites it in Return of the Jedi -- like, full-on roasts in a fire, turns into a ghost, end of story, right? Well, according to the British tabloid Express.co.uk, an "industry insider" claims that Disney is looking to resurrect the iconic villain for Star Wars: Episode VII.
"He's an integral part of the franchise. Replacing him is virtually impossible," one source says. "The plan is for him to return and play a significant role in the new films."

As /Film notes, it's important to keep in mind that tabloid sites -- especially from the U.K. -- are not exactly renowned for their Hollywood accuracy, so it's best to take this news with a big block of salt. After all, Michael Arndt was only just confirmed to be penning the feature a few days ago. On the other hand, it's also unwise to completely write off the power of marketability, of which Darth Vader has a small moon's worth.
As for how you go about resurrecting a dead Sith Lord, the insider added, "This is science fiction, remember... Darth Vader will rise from the ashes."
Hey, Darth Maul did it, right?

I don't think there's anything Disney can screw up the last three didn't already screw up (or any of those awful re-cut versions of the original trilogy)... The sacred status, for me, went away with Episode 1. Turn it into a franchise, give directors trilogies to imagine their vision, and let the universe expand.

I just hope it doesn't go John Carter.

I'm not sure where they can go with Vader redeemed/dead and the emperor dead.

I don't generally read fiction, but there are some great Star Wars books out there that follow up from where Episode VI leaves off. There is plenty left to be told. (Han and Leia have twins who just so happen to be gifted in the force)

Not to mention that the emperor isn't really dead and Luke later embraces the dark side to destroy him once and for all. There's a ton of story left to be told going forward but I hope they go into the past and make some Darth Bane movies

Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and Raiders of the Lost Ark has reportedly signed on to write Episodes 8 and 9. Further, Simon Kinberg who helped write X-Men: First Class, and is also working on the upcoming sequel, has also reportedly signed on to write Episodes 8 and 9.

Im not sure if I posted this before or not but here goes.

I loved the first 3 when I was growing up and was really excited about the new 3. I dont remember disliking them when they came out but now in retrospect I really think that I wanted to like them so much I ignored that they were awful. One of the factors I use to determine if a movie is really good or not is if I watch it any time it pops on TV. All 3 first movies I will watch. These new 3 I don't.

Back in November, the Los Angeles Timesreported that Man of Steel and 300 director Zack Snyder said he had no interest in directing the hotly anticipated seventh Star Wars film. But Vulture has learned that while this may be specifically true — he won’t be doing Episode VII— it was a bit of misdirection: He is in fact developing a Star Wars project for Lucasfilm that is set within the series’ galaxy, though parallel to the next trilogy. It will be an as-yet-untitled Jedi epic loosely based on Akira Kurosawa’s 1954 classic Seven Samurai, with the ronin and katana being replaced by the Force-wielding knights and their iconic lightsabers. (Go ahead, say it — you know you want to: “ … an elegant weapon, for a more civilized age.” Felt good, didn’t it?)

It’s not clear just where Snyder’s untitled Jedi film would fall within the Star Wars chronology, but one insider expects it will not be considered part of the “numbered” episodes, but rather a stand-alone film set sometime post–Episode VI events, meaning the next phase of the franchise development is much broader than previously thought. For those unfamiliar, Kurosawa’s influentialSeven Samurai (The Magnificent Seven was the American remake) tells the tale of a small agrarian town in seventeenth-century Japan that’s routinely pillaged by bandits. Fed up with the annual shakedown, its farmers retain the services of seven masterless samurai to defend their harvest. George Lucas has cited the classic as one of his favorites, telling the Telegraph in 2005 that “it’s a brilliant, brilliant film, and every time I see it I can't believe the magic mixture of a great story and great acting and humour and action and suspense — wonderful cinema. The art of moving pictures is on every frame of this movie.”

wow, J.J. Abrams has signed on to direct Episode 7.

That means he's now helming both the Star Wars and Star Trek movie franchises. Plus producer on the Mission Impossible franchise.

A long history of sci-fi credentials including Star Trek, Lost, Fringe, Alias, Revolution, Super 8 and Cloverfield.

Not excited at all. He does a good job of hooking you but it turns out cheesey and the endings don't make sense.
