Grab your pistols and ammo, throw them in your backpack, go to the shooting range, come home, toss the bag in the closet, forget about it for a few weeks, then grab your backpack for a trip... My brother got stopped at security once because he'd forgotten to check all the pockets in his backpack, and had some ammo tucked in one of them. The scary part was that he got stopped at the security checkpoint of his return flight layover. That means the ammo made it through three security screenings before someone noticed.
