After apparent behavioral problems, the Minnesota Vikings will reportedly look to trade star wide receiver Percy Harvin this offseason.
Mike Max of WCCO (via CBS Sports) reported that, during the season, Harvin had a "blowup [...] with Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier." That exchange seems to be at the root of this recent news.
The article continues:
Multiple sources tell Max that Harvin had an embarrassing tirade directed toward Frazier, disrespecting the coach during the season when Harvin was sidelined with an injured ankle.
Teammates were present, and Max was told that is when Harvin left the team and was put on injured reserve...The Vikings will try to trade him, Max reports, as Harvin does have market value....
He's a talent, no question... not many guys can (potentially) do what he does, running, catching and returning. That said, he's a knucklehead and selfish player... He was at Florida, too. And for all of the big play stuff he's supposed to bring, he certainly wasn't indispensable as he missed half of the year and Minny still went to the playoffs. The Bengals pretty much cleaned out their locker room of selfish, me-first players and they'd be bringing a high-profile one here if they grabbed Harvin.

Personally, I'd much prefer Tavon Austin. He'd be cheaper, younger, has less baggage, and doesn't have the migraine issues.

Didn't someone on this board say they knew him or something during high school and he has a history of this kind of behavioral problem?

That was me TJ, he grew up down the street from me and went to high school with my son. Typical "star" athlete punk, got out of a shitload of trouble because of his talent. Don't like this kid at all, entitled spoiled prick with an attitude.
Despite his lack of usage, Pro Football Focus also notes that Harvin's been regularly effective and reliable, holding the league's best catch rate for a receiver in the slot. Harvin caught 79.1 percent of the balls thrown in his direction when he was in the slot. If that doesn't make you want to become Harvin's agent and get him the hell out of Minnesota, this is perhaps the most telling PFF stat ;
Ponder finished the season with a passer rating of 70.1, and Donovan McNabb was just at 82.9, but on throws targeting Harvin, the pair combined for a QB rating of 97.2.
He's a manipulative, free-weight throwing dick (reportedly).
Just a guess, if Frazier is of the same school as Marvin, then I don't want this clown. Regardless of how effective on the field Harvin may be, team chemistry is important.

I think Harvin talent wise would catapult this offense into great things. This is the first I've heard of his attitude problems though and one thing is for sure that Marvin will be able to do all the investigating he needs with Frazier having first hand experience.

Also, for those saying that Marvin wouldn't be able to control Harvin just as he couldn't control Chad, do not forget that Chad was controlled well while Hue was on the staff, which he currently is again. Don't discount that Hue could do the same with Harvin.

How big of a weight? If it was over 50, the guy is a headcase. 40-50 may be a headcase. Less than 40, just a momentary lapse in judgement.

All three weight classes you mentioned would kill someone so, no thanks.
