akiliMVP
Make a 7 round mock using CBS Sports' player rankings. Can only draft a player rated at or below our pick. Here's the link to their rankings: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospectrankings/2013 1 (21). S Matt Elam, Florida (rated 34th) - Bengals get their stud safety who can defend the run and cover the pass. 2 (37). OLB Arthur Brown, Kansas State (40th) - Sideline to sideline linebacker allows Burfict to slide inside. 2. (53). WR Justin Hunter, Tennessee (62nd) - A.J. Green lite has mega physical ability but needs some refining. 3. (84). RB Andre Ellington, Clemson (89th) - Change of pace back and return man. 4. (118). RB Le'veon Bell, Michigan State (126th) - Power back to eventually take over Green-Ellis' role. 5. (156). OT Reid Fragel, Ohio State (172nd) - Big, athletic developmental tackle prospect. 6. (190). CB Steve Williams, Cal (190th) - Undersized but very good in coverage. 6. (197). QB Sean Renfree, Duke (220th) - Good size, strong arm. 7. (240). ILB Vince Williams, Florida State (268th) - Good special teamer and will probably get drafted much higher 7. (251). DE Walter Stewart, Cincinnati (317th) - If his health checks out this is a major steal.
Bengals1181
Would be awesome, but no way Brown is there in the real thing.
JBandJoeyV
21- S Elam 37- LB Brown (i agree with 1181, Id probably take brown at 21 and take Cyperien or Elam at 37 or Swearinger later, but in this...) 53- RB Bernard 84- CB Mathieu 118- OT Quessenberry 156- DE Gholston 190- RB Stacy 197- WR/RB Denard Robinson 240- CB Travis Howard 251- QB Colin Klein
Jason
Most of my mocks are built that way (roughly, I usually allow myself a pick or two a little above).
JBandJoeyV
Most of my mocks are built that way (roughly, I usually allow myself a pick or two a little above). If i am allowed to give myself a pick or two leeway give me Vaccaro at 21. Vaccaro-Brown-Gio would probably be my dream draft. Wouldnt be surprised if not a single one of those didnt reach that respective pick though.
Zins30
I like the drafts above so I tried picking some different players.... 21- WR DeAndre Hopkins (Clemson) - admittedly I changed this pick after looking ahead at who was available witht he next two picks so went by position 37- SS Jonathan Cyprien (FIU) - thought Cyprien was better value at 37 than Elam at 21 53- LB Kaseem Greene (Rutgers) - watched him all year and think he could be a special player. Might not be as slid initially as Brown but I think his upside potential is huge 84- RB Andre Ellington (Clemson) - Best RB available at this point 118- LB Jon Bostic (Miami) - Good value here and if this draft happens this way I would see keeping Vontaze outside with Green and Bostic in the middle. 156- QB Zac Dysert (Miami OH) - Has the Qb body and has been limited by numerous coaches and lack of WR. could be a good pick to groom as backup who likely won't challenge for a starting role 190- FB Kyle Juszczyk (Harvard) - Just like how the dude plays and think he'd be an upgrade over wither FB on the roster 197- CB D.J. Hayden (Houston) - Mayock has him rocketing up his top 5 list, seems liek premium value here 240- RB Knile Davis (Arkansas) - risk/reward with this pick seems high enough to take him, kind of like Bernard Scott a few years ago 251- DE Craig Roh (Michigan) - don't know anything about him, just figured DE depth in case MJ93 walks might be good and he was the highest rated DE Not thrilled with how the Ellington pick but Knile Davis might be able to offset that later on.... LB Michael Mauti (205) 240. RB Onterrio McCalebb (242) 251. SS Robert Lester (258) http://www.gbnreport.com/top100.html
