Police and federal agents searched an apartment building on Ocean Avenue in nearby Revere late Monday night in connection with the bombings.

CBS News Senior Correspondent John Miller reported Tuesday morning the apartment search was related to a man who is reportedly under guard at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Miller reported the man is a Saudi national who is in the United States on a student visa.

Several bags were removed from the scene around 2 a.m. Tuesday, but authorities would not comment on the search.

The Revere Fire department wrote on its Facebook page that this was a search for “a person of interest.”

Saudi student caught up in bombing manhunt cleared

REVERE, Mass. — A student from Saudi Arabia who was wounded in the explosions at the Boston Marathon finish line on Monday was caught up in the manhunt for the source of the two bombs.

On Monday night, federal agents questioned his roommates and searched his apartment, carrying out bags of evidence.

The man was considered a “person of interest,” but is no longer under suspicion, said a federal law enforcement official who requested anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation.

At the Ocean Shores Towers on the beachfront in the blue-collar town of Revere, near Boston, a manager said the three students who lived in the apartment were among dozens of Saudi students who have been arriving since the Arab Spring, their education financed by the Saudi government.

“They all seem like nice young men who got a break to come to the U.S. and learn English and to have a chance at a better life,” said the manager, who said he was not authorized by his management firm to speak publicly.

One of his roommates answered the apartment door but declined to comment, saying only that he was trying to determine where his friend was.

I am thankful that this kid is cleared.  I have seen other reports that this kid was not tackled by a civilian but by off-duty Boston PD Detective(s).  The "acting suspiciously" turned out to be that he ran away from the blast purposefully.  I would imagine that there were thousands of people acting suspicious that day then...

Edit: 100 times worse then the Kevin Ware photos.

Any father who has to see his son in that condition...  No father should ever have to see their son like that.

Very moving article and informative.  Did not know the story about the guy in the cowboy hat.  I'd say thanks for sharing but I almost would rather not have seen that article.

Seems like the off duty cop just tackled the first Arab he could find, it's funny how many people just assume it was some muslim without getting any facts. We have plenty of domestic terrorist like the Arayian Brotherhood/Neo Nazis who have committed acts of terrorism in the past and recently have killed judges and prison wardens. I'm not saying they are responsible but just to assume it was an Arab/Muslim and tackle someone who fits the description is crazy.

This kid should sue the BPD and off duty cop, imo.

Go to link above and go to around 2:26 to see a person running away from where the explosion took place.  Tattered dark colored pants and dark hair.  There is a close up around 2:32.

Pay attention to where this person comes from (appears to be center of explosion) and the actions of everyone else around this person.  Towards then end it appears he has a person ready to tackle him.  Wondering if this is the same person mentioned above.

Some good news:

http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/national-international/NATL-CT-COPY-Amid-the-Tragedy-a-Marriage-Proposal-203325561.html?_osource=SocialFlowFB_DCBrand

Andrew Ruggiero, of Boston, planned to be at the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday, down on one knee with diamond in hand, when his girlfriend crossed the finish line.

He and Melissa Blasczyk, a Wallingford, Conn. native, did get engaged Monday, but only after terrifying moments amid tragic events as explosions turned a festive day into a tragic one.

Blasczyk ran the Boston Marathon on Monday, and Ruggiero had secretly arranged to become a finish-line volunteer and had a news crew ready to film the proposal at the finish line.

"Trying to play it cool, and not let her know that I had this elaborate plan with a diamond ring at the finish line, with her family, with my family," he said.

Then, the bombs went off.

"We were about 10 minutes up, and I had my back to the fence, and you heard the first loud boom," Ruggiero said.

Melissa had safely been turned back from the finish line, but her family did not yet know that as they stared at the finish line when the first bomb went off.

"I walked away from the race and walked all the way to Cambridge, about a couple miles away," she said. She was getting news of what had happened from Facebook and CNN.

Meanwhile, Blasczyk’s loved ones set out to look for her. They called her cell phone hundreds of times, but there was no answer. Then, a friend spotted Melissa on the street and drove her home.

"Everyone came and gave me a big hug. It was so great to see everyone. He (Ruggiero) was standing there a little awkwardly," Blasczyk said.

It’s because Andrew was debating whether he should pop the question.

"In light of such dark evil, even I felt it important to say it’s not going to deter me from finally marrying the girl that I love," Ruggiero said.

So Ruggiero got down on one knee inside their apartment and asked for Melissa’s hand in marriage.

No date is set yet, but the couple plan to wed in 2014.

"Dark skinned male"

Around 2:27 into the video located on the bottom of the page it mentions "dark skinned male".  Annoying that there are two other videos on the page that interfere with the third video but just shut off the audio of the other two.

Your original link has updated with the following.

UPDATE: Officials have now confirmed that NO arrests have been made.

Thanks for the update. Take everything with a little skepticism and split the difference is where the partial truth lies. The end result will still be an arrest.

As far as the guy running away, I'd be suprised, it lookas as if has torn clothing from the blast as well, and unless it was a suicide bomber type, I'd think he'd want to set it and get away before it blasted off.

Maybe he did set it and get ready to walk away but got a call from a telemarketer and set it off early...

I'm not even sure this is the guy everyone was talking about.  It just seemed very odd that he was near the center of the blast and running out of it while everyone else around him seemed to be shell shocked (in the bottom right of the photo you can see the guy who lost his legs, the one in the post cited as NSFW, also included in the photo is others who lost limbs and life but this guy somehow escaped major damage).  The picture was taken from a series of still photos included on a video.  I've also heard that it was a guy with a white hat on a cell phone at the second explosion site that walked away and mingled with others directly before the second explosion went off.  If the white hat guy is the suspect, the picture above might be of no consequence.  Lord and Taylor surveillance video is the source often quoted but there were two sets of photographic evidence that is continually referred to.  Don't know.
