Contributing players past 32 years old are the exception rather than the rule now. Used to be that at 32, they were almost just getting started. Any help? I was throwing the 32 number out as just that...a number. Maybe 30 would be more accurate. But even that is an illustration, not a declaration. The point, as Go alluded to, was that players years ago tended to play well into their 30's at a good rate of competency. Not so much anymore.
