In other words, EmDiggy is guilty of the same sin more than once.  And still, in MY house, this GUEST, rather than simply acknowledge a differing opinion (let's free him from the burden of having to actually be correct for the sake of argument) tries to pull rank, like he did last week, where he countered his challenger with his "MONTHS of evaluations."  Seriously? This guy spent months watching Gio? Or did he do what he did this week, and simply parrot what he's heard elsewhere?

 

A troll is a troll, and once he establishes himself as such, I put him where he belongs, which is in my doghouse.  You're welcome to put him at the head of your table and let him continue to lap at your plate  - but you'll have no one but yourself to blame for the piles of his shit that you keep stepping in.

OK, what do you call someone that only shows up on this site to promote his own product if not a spammer?  It's not like he's here to talk Bengals football under any other circumstance, ever.

 

1181 questioned his assertion of "lazy downfield coverage." I quipped that it was EmDiggy's coverage that was lazy, (if that was his takeaway from a rather brilliant, marathon performance by our secondary). It wasn't until he (once again) fired back at those questioning his work that I was forced to watch the video (you know, the one with all of the game clips that have ZERO to do with what he's talking about  - or even better - when he gets up to the eraser board in his basement so we can look at the back of his head while he  draws up plays he thinks we should run?

 

EmDiggy has had a chance to up his game. Unfortunately, he's just another kid with a video camera and and a computer.

Haven't commented much of late but I am with alleycat.  The guy is on here to promote himself.  I stopped watching his video's around the 3rd one he posted -- what was that 2 years ago? But from the sounds of it he hasn't gotten any better.   If the guy is going to be allowed to spam then he should be up for a real debate to defend his opinion versus what he has shown thus far which amounts to "oh yeah... well.. yeah.. you suck".    

 

I'm surprised it has taken this long to call this guy out.  You guys are brutal with each other but for some odd reason gave this guy a pass.

If you looked for yourself, you'd see remarkable improvement since 2009.. You are missing the point genius.  You are spamming this board to promote yourself, but when challenged on your opinion you provide nothing and I mean absolutely nothing to support that opinion. Which only reinforces to me 'why bother even watching'.  If it generated a good back and forth discussion where you actually defended your opinion with a breakdown of a specific play(s) I would take the time to watch your analysis.   When you get around to your "film session" work in January I will be sure to check out your in depth analysis...   Which begs the question 'if you are unable to do the necessary work" why spam the board with a half-ass effort.   

Not a fan of the videos, so I too stopped giving them hits. I'm sure the dude has fun making them, but I get the same material from other sources.

If you're into them, give the guy hits. If you aren't, stop giving him hits, and stop turning your disdain into publicity. :)

If you're going to come here and promote your site that gives critiques and opinions on our players, expect critiques of your opinions back. Don't expect everyone to bow down and consider you an expert who knows more than they do. We don't even do that for our own coaches.

I'm not what you may consider a regular here, although I do read everyday, in what I feel may contribute to the fact that I don't feel so damn sesitive and seemingly territorial as some of you are reacting. I don't see the big deal with Em posting his videos here. I see nothing more than a guy who, out of assumed passion for the game, does his own interpretation of team film study and analysis and decides to share it through an accessible medium (being fan forums). SO THE FUCK WHAT? Is it detrimental to you (saying this as an indirect generality) in any way? If so - and I highly doubt one could rationally attest to being so - then by all means take whatever personal measures you must in not exposing yourself to such detrimental media.... such as ignoring it? I'm sure I wasn't the only one who DIDN't get a proverbial stick up his ass after watching the video.

I haven't cared to enough to check other boards' reactions to his posting of his videos, but honestly, do others really make a big deal about it? I'd have to guess probably not if he's persisted in doing it this long; either that or he's thick skinned; in which case good for him. But maybe if he's still following he can comment to that regard. Anyway, while I thoroughly enjoy this site and all everyone contributes to making it a worthy place for team news and discussion, I've always felt over the years that a lot of regulars really put too much merit in their own opinions and tend to get really catty (no pun intended) when someone (especially less frequent posters and "outsiders") tend to state something that, God forbid, differs from their train of thought, whether truely right or wrong. If you want to pound your chest on knowing "better" or legitimately have a criticism to offer or point out, there is such thing as humility and it is a virtue. There's a difference between being constructively critical and being an obvious asshole. I suppose people lean towards the latter as that's evidently the easier path to take.
