Won't be the first time nor will it be the last time this happens. There are even cases where real guns are painted orange on the tip of the barrel to cause the LE to pause. Deputies determined that the rifle was a "replica of an assault weapon" and that he also had a plastic handgun in his waistband, O'Leary said. If everything happened as the article said and it was a real gun they'll be screaming about his right to carry that gun without being shot by the police.
