MichaelWeston
Browns Rob Chudzinski Bucs Greg Schiano Lions Jim Schwartz Texans Gary Kubiak Vikings Leslie Frazier Washington Mike Shanahan Texans reportedly looking for a guy with head coaching experience. Browns probably already have their guy. Skins probably want an offensive mind. No idea on Vikings. Leslie Frazier is a prime candidate to be on our staff soon. Cat
Leslie Frazier is a prime candidate to be on our staff soon. You think so? I always thought there was bad blood when he left here.
MichaelWeston
You think so? I always thought there was bad blood when he left here. I actually think he and Marvin are very close. I didn't read a ton about it but Marvin talked about him positively when we played the Vikes. MichaelWeston
Two listed as possible replacements for Shanahan per ESPN 8. Cincinnati Bengals assistant coach Hue Jackson: Jackson has a history of working well with quarterbacks. He mentored former Redskins QB Jason Campbell in Oakland. 9. Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden: If Washington can't get Jon Gruden, his brother is an attractive alternative. Jay has helped coach QB Andy Dalton and the Bengals to their third straight playoff appearance, and RG III might like what Gruden can offer him. MichaelWeston
Washington Redskins: The Washington Post reports Mike Shanahan and his staff have been dismissed. Adam Schefter reports the Redskins inquired through a third-party about six weeks ago about David Shaw, but Shaw appears to want to stay at Stanford. According to Mort, it's possible that Jon Gruden would take a phone call from Dan Snyder. Jay Gruden, who couldn't interview until January 12, is a possibility. Lovie Smith, Mike Zimmer, possibly Jerry Gray could all interview. Mort also warns to keep an eye on Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman, though Sherman is under pressure in Miami. Mort says Art Briles could divide the locker room, but Pat Shurmer, who has learned Chip Kelly's system in Philadelphia, could emerge as a candidate. Schefter believes Raheem Morris could receive an interview, as well.
|High School Harry|
I could see the Lions going after Zimmer. it was said on the pregame radio show Sunday that the Lions like Gruden. For as much crap as he gets here (right or wrong) there seems to be some interest around the League.Wouldn't it be the shits if we lost BOTH Gruden and Zimmer? Not impossible.
