Randle P McMurphy
Just curious as to who you guys think is the most "overrated" and "underrated" potential first round picks so far?? Before the combine starts. In my opinion, so far the most "overrated" potential first round pick is..... Timmy Jernigan, DT, Florida State. 6' 2" 298 lbs. I may be wrong, (which wouldn't be the first time), but in the National Championship game that guy was gasping for air a lot of the time. Especially towards the end of the game. Maybe it was the time off in between the ACC Championship game and the National Title game but he looked out of shape. You'd think that a potential first round pick in the biggest game of his life, wouldn't have literally been gasping for air on the sidelines late in the 4th quarter. Again, just my opinion. As for the most "underrated" potential first round pick....... Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Florida State. 6'5" 235 lbs. I know he's projected as a first rounder in quite a few drafts but I've seen a lot of mocks that have him projected as the 5th best WR in the draft and lower! Some as low as the 10th best WR! He caught 50 passes last year for 957 yards for an average of just over 19 yards. Not to mention 14 TD's. That was with a 19 year old kid throwing him the ball! lol
sparky151
Overrated? I'd say Clowney or Manziel. They may end up being fine players but both come with a lot of hype. Underrated? Aaron Donald. I've seen him listed in the 60s or lower on top player lists. He's a poor man's Geno and the Bengals should have him in the discussion at 24.
