MichaelWeston
Texans waived QB T.J. Yates. The move comes on the same day coach Bill O'Brien admitted Ryan Fitzpatrick was the Texans' starter. Yates was set to do battle with Case Keenum and rookie Tom Savage for No. 2 duties, and Keenum for a roster spot. Instead, the Texans chose Keenum's 2013 film over Yates' distant 2011 accomplishments, where he was at the helm for Houston's first franchise playoff victory. Yates figures to draw interest from the Ravens, who are thin behind Joe Flacco, and have Yates' former coach Gary Kubiak calling the shots on offense. I think Yates would do well to follow Kubiak to Baltimore. It'll be interesting to see if there's interest on either side, though. After all, when Houston finally pulled the plug on Matt Schaub last year, Case Keenum got the nod over Yates.
