Then I'll hijack it in broad daylight.

Newhouse has some comments for Time Warner Cable. Pretty funny.

Its a dead thread for now since OTAs are over.  Might as well have a little non hate filled discussion and the only way to do that is NOT talk about the Bengals.

TWC does suck. I'll post my experience later if I'm on the computer. Too much to text by phone. I love their Internet; it's fast and never lags. Their customer service, both on the phone and in person, is amazingly bad. I've only had good luck with the installers. They've been cool.

I can't help but to voice my displeasure now.

I don't watch enough TV, the wife doesn't watch enough TV, the dogs don't care about it, and the baby boy only wants tit milk so no one really cares about it. We decided we can save about $60/month by taking off the TV, keeping the Internet, and getting Netflix. I call TWC and they won't let me take TV off the account because I dot have my pin #. I get off the phone after going back and forth with this dude about not knowing my pin. I have him every 4 digit # I've ever used for anything but he said none worked. I call back, tell someone else I want to add a movie package and before I did could I please get my pin # so I can make that happen. They give me the pin, the wife's freaking phone #, and they transfer me over to someone. Before they pick me up, because you're always on hold for at least 5 minutes, I hung up. I call em back, got my pin, get sent her to some specialist dude because only he can take off the TV, wait 10-15 mins for him, and he won't allow me to take the TV off the account. "I have a better solution for you," he says. I tell him straight up I wouldn't care if it was free, and that no matter what he said, I don't want the TV because I don't watch it. Obviously I'll take it if it's free but I wanted to make a point. I'm at work while I'm doing this mind you. He tries to tell to me about the NBA playoffs (he overheard me talking to a guy I work with about the previous evening's games), how I can watch all the games, how if I didn't have the local channels I wouldn't know if there's a community threat out and about my neighborhood, I wouldn't know the weather, etc. for at LEAST 30 mins this dude is talking to me, and I keep turning him down. Mind you, again, I'm working. I'm paying about 10% attention to this guy. Enough to know when I needed to say no. Finally, he asked me if there was any amount of money I'd be willing to pay to keep some sort of TV and I reminded him I wouldn't unless it was free. Eventually he takes my TV off and tells me that it won't start until I drop off my equipment 30-40 minutes away which SUCKED. I go in to take my stuff back and the staff was rude, unpleasant, and just hated life. You guys wanna know what I did because of how they acted? I kept their batteries. I can't wait to use them and get them back for being dicks.

Fresh water it only good for swimming.

Maybe you should try the Steelhead trout.  It's similar to salmon in that it lives most of it's life out at sea, and returns to fresh water to spawn.  What is labled "Rainbow" trout is usually the variety that spends it's entire life in fresh water.   I find the taste very similar to salmon and I wonder if maybe you ate the Rainbow trout since it seems you don't like the taste of freshwater fish in general.  Good steelhead has a similar texture to salmon except it's maybe a tad softer with more fat so it's "juicier".  It's my favorite "inexpensive" fish.  I recommend grilling it and applying a butter/garlic/lemon/dill/salt glaze both before and after cooking.

Also, a general rule about cooking fish, once you see the "white stuff" start to come out of the flesh it's done.. Well technically a little over done at that point, but it's a nice warning sign that it's time to stop cooking the fish.

Do you like falafel?  I found a place that sells gluten free falafel and it's fantastic. You have to make it yourself but it's totally worth it.

I love and have made my own falafel many times.. I love chickpeas in any way you want to serve them.  It's the pita that's hard to replicate, but I have managed to find a decent recipe for those as well.. All in all a labor intensive meal so anything to make it easier is welcome, what is this falafel of which you speak?

In Clifton....the University plaza where Kroger and Walgreens is.  If you're standing directly outside Walgreen's like you just exited, it's literally the building to your right. So there's a BP on the corner of Jefferson and (don't know name of street but it's where you can take a left onto Short Vine from, that you're looking at if standing outside Walgreens looking right).  Directly East of the BP is a barber shop, then a street called Glendora (don't turn down it, it's a one way) then the next building is where the store is.  It's the last property on the corner before you hit short Vine.  Usually has just an open sign but it has 2 big bay windows with the door to enter in the middle.  Its' a small mom n pop shop but the food there is excellent.  He also sells halal Amish chicken for a very reasonable price.....about as much as you find at the grocery store.  He sells chicken and beef kabob sandwiches for $3 ea when he could easily charge $5.  You can find beef, chicken, lamb, goat there as well.  Anyways, in the back freezer, is where the falafel is.  A bag of 96 for $19.  Yes, that's $0.20 ea falafel.....very very cheap if you ask me.  You do have to deep fry it yourself at home but well worth it.

I like to visit Northside farmers market on Wednesdays (4-7pm) and I get organic locally grown parsley from there to add as an ingredient in my falafel sandwich....as well as make tabouleh with.  Use quinoa instead of bulger wheat in the tabouleh as to not ingest gluten.  Falafel and tabouleh together is one of my favorite meals.  I could eat tabouleh all day every day....especially in the summer.

Check them both out....you'll be glad you did.  You may run into me one day at either place.....you can relay back to GB.com what a dbag I am.

Pretty sure I know the place.. I have been curious so this will be a good reason to check it out.. I just recently heard about using quinoa for tabbouleh but I haven't tried it yet.. Thanks for the suggestion!

You guys really think there is a difference in the taste of trout.. Be it brown ,rainbow brook?,,

Some yes. A native brook does taste different than the rainbow's raised in the hatchery. Nothing like a brook on the open fire pan fried IMO

Species definitely matters but so does environment. I would not eat anything from the Ohio or Little Miami or Willamette. We have a very cavalier relationship with our water sources these days.

Maybe, but I kind of doubt it. They don't sound as appetizing so I'm guessing there isn't much demand.

Fish taste better if you catch them yourself, though.
