Jason
If the NFL opens on 9/3 that will work.
Bleeds Orange
I noticed that when the Reds schedule was released today, as well. Unless the Bengals play on a Thursday, a Sunday night, or a Monday night, they'll open the season with two road games. This has gotten me wondering. Is the NFL at the mercy of MLB when it comes to scheduling September games? It would seem that they are.

Your statement could be a little confusing to the misinformed. :) Less than a mile from each other. When the Reds are home we open on the road. Bleeds Orange
The NFL opening game will be on 9/10 and first Sunday games on 9/13. Where did you find that info? I couldn't find it with a quick search. Isn't that a week later that normal? We'll be having withdrawals by the 13th.

Jason
The season opens the Thursday after Labor Day.
Bleeds Orange
Then that would be the 13th for the first Sunday games. I don't recall the season ever starting that late. Backing things up, some teams wouldn't play their first preseason games until August 15. Not disputing the info, as I have nothing otherwise, but the whole thing just seems "off". Check 2009 opening game, it was 9/13. The NFL hasn't opened on Labor Day weekend in many years.
BigDawgBengal
If anyone cares, 14 of the 16 2015 opponents. Final two are set at the end of the year. Home: Ravens, Steelers, Browns, Rams, Seahawks, Chargers, Chiefs. Away: Ravens, Steelers, Browns, 49ers, Cardinals, Broncos, Raiders.
Jason
If anyone cares, 14 of the 16 2015 opponents. Final two are set at the end of the year. Home: Ravens, Stealers, Browns, Rams, Seahawks, Chargers, Chiefs. Away: Ravens, Stealers, Browns, 49ers, Cardinals, Broncos, Raiders. Guess: Colts and Pats. That is a tough schedule. Bleeds Orange
Check 2009 opening game, it was 9/13. The NFL hasn't opened on Labor Day weekend in many years. You are absolutely right. I don't recall that, at all. Three west coast games and one in Denver. Ouch.
Bleeds Orange
I may be the most guilty one here, but isn't it weird we're talking about the 2015 schedule, only one game into the 2014 schedule? It's almost like the 90s and early 00s, when Bengals fans were on message boards discussing the draft in October.
turningpoint
I believe there's a very good chance we open on the road for the 10pm MNF game, but here's to hoping for being home on TNF to open the season.

Bleeds Orange
http://www.fbschedules.com/nfl/cincinnati-bengals.php Okay, so now that site is showing the first game as September 6. Which is it? Not that it's a big deal at this point, but just making conversation.

Bleeds Orange
Yes, but it still implies that the season will begin the week of the 6th, not the 13th.
