Exxonmobile had a profit last yr of $1.7 Billion-this yr was somewhere around $8 Billion(either $7.6 or $8.6 Billion). Not a bad little jump 400-500% increase in profits. All these so called "Conservatives" (most of which are only that because of abortion and because Karl Rove told them Christians are supposed to be one) who complain about the terrible "Left" fail to realize that Republicans have control of the whole damn country. President, majority in House, Senate, majority of Supreme Court Judges were nominated by Republican Presidents and [b]FEDERAL JUDGES[/b], Majority of Govenors and state governments. If the "left" is killing the country what the hell is the right doing about it with all the power? I guess the New York Times runs the country...no one even reads the paper like they used to. I swear that the Republican party has the best marketing I have ever seen. They have constant AM cronies reading their talking points and a network dedicated to kissing their ass. I love it when they counter by saying, "Well the Liberals have AirAmerica!" Who even gets that bs on the radio? They get a pass on so much stuff...but people just follow. The Democrats are practically a joke. I'm not talking about just in political ideals, but in their organization and whatnot. Now would be the perfect time for a third party to gain a lot of power. They should be able to gain the trust of those who are not Republican, yet are feeling hurt by their Democratic party. Only thing is, that would be probably the Green Party, and the only thing I agree with them on is the legalization of marijuana and some other "drugs". [right][post="120923"][/post][/right][/quote] I misunderstood ,the $1.7B was for the 1st qtr and the $7.6B was for the 2nd qtr of this yr.--It's worse than I thought. Not a bad increase by any means. Sell some of that stock to pay for the heating oil this winter and subtract the extra price your paying/gal and I bet you'll have a lot less of your stock. You'd have to write a book to explain the thoughts behind them,but they nail the thoughts and leave no doubts. Doesn't seem that there is too much arguement vs them. Steggy,no problem. I just love when a plan comes together and I can help someone out that has a simple problem-now I don't have to worry about you being cold this winter. No matter how the oil bill gets paid.
