He'll be the first Pontiff to do so. House Speaker John Boehner made the announcement at a news conference, then issued a statement expressing gratitude that the pope had accepted his invitation to appear before a joint meeting of the House and Senate. |Lucid| Posted February 5, 2015 Report Share Posted February 5, 2015 This should be good.. :popcorn: With the Pope's recent stern criticism's of capitalism and endorsing "hand-outs for entitled losers" as well as voicing acceptance over gay marriage, I'm looking forward to what he has to say to the American GOP led congress and the following "Well with all due respect to the pope but I have to disagree...." that FOX and friends will be bellowing afterwards. But I truly believe Pope Francis is a Prophet/Saint/Buddha (whatever your flavor) and is the closest thing to a "Vicar of Christ" I have ever witnessed.
