Bernie Sanders just drew a crowd of 10K people...the largest crowd of any candidate yet

Silly Socialist. :)

I still don't know that he has a legitimate shot at the nomination, but he's certainly going to shake shit up along the way...

I hope I get the chance to do so as well...

Me, too. But in spite of my previous response--which is true for the most part, I think--the importance of his campaign is that it is defining a practical moment for the large number of people who are dissatisfied with our current political climate to actually organize. This could be, and ought be, imo, a potentially potent populist upsurge which forces pols to respond to pressures from the organized efforts of regular folks around certain policies. Astute pols know what the "correct" political move is when pressured by folks whom they represent. At least, they do if they want to keep their jobs.

If you consider the relative success of the Tea Party movement and the general failure of Occupy, this is the key. Being organized. Even if the fix may be in for Clinton--and it surely will be if the New York Dem party won't allow Sanders on the primary ballot--the positives from Sanders campaign can act as a catalyst. I personally think this is his primary motive for making the effort. And, keep in mind that there does exist the remote but real possibility that he can win the nomination. See McGovern 72.

In any case, drop by his website, sign up, go to meetings in your area, and raise a ruckus. No more Bushes or Clintons... And I would have voted for Clinton in 2008...

Trump is a bomb thrower in a target rich environment.

Other candidates will face increasing pressure to acknowledge and respond.

Debates should be epic....and if they attempt to exclude him Trump will simply lob bombs in the press the following day.

Shades of Ross Perot but with more fucking class....and better looking broads.

God bless America!

Gotta say Bernie for the dems, gonna be real interesting to see how that shakes out vs the entrenched powers-that-be, though I'm not convinced he's as far removed from all that as he's made out to be. I said the same about Warren; you don't get where they are without getting a little dirt on ya.

For the 'pubs, shit IDK..  Sometimes Rand Paul says cool stuff and sometimes he sounds like a complete tool, plus his Daddy's long ties to the Klan and white supremacists is alarming to me. He seems like he could be the most secular of their possible candidates, which admittedly isn't saying much.

This is such a stupid argument.

The size of government does not matter, the argument isn't whether it's big or small, or it shouldn't be, it's whether it's doing it's job of working for the people and if so leave it alone and if not fix it where its not.
