And I'm still chuckling that liberal is some sort of bad word. Anyone to the left of Pat Buchanan is a liberal at this point. And the most deliciously ironic aspect of all this is that by the standards of classical liberalism, with its emphasis on Patrick Henry-ish liberty, Adam Smith-ian private property, and John Locke-ian individualism, the real liberals in this country are precisely those who spend so much time tilting at Don Quixotic mythical windmills.
