Keeping our Enemies Close 2015-16 Edition

Browns cut former first rounder Phil Taylor.  AFTER fully guaranteeing his salary in March.  Offset language exists, which means they won't have to pay whatever someone else pays him under their number.  We should sign this guy for a dollar and then sock it to CLE just for fun.

I'd be on board with that... :19:

In Browns news:

Traded last years third round pick Terrance West for a 7th round draft pick and cut this years 4th round pick Vince Maye without signing him to PS.

You have to think at some point things have to turn around but it's one comical error after another.

And it's always fun to bring up Trent Richardson in that conversation.

If that happens we have bigger problems than we think

Idk about that. Every team he has been on has wanted him to play WR but he's always refused until now. He would have been an elite college prospect as a WR if he played that instead of QB. The guy is extremely physically gifted the question is whether or not he could learn it. Now he's willing to try it. He could surprise and be a serviceable WR with a ton of size, speed and athleticism.

Yeah, plus both their first round picks last year look like busts. Thank God, they passed on Odell Beckham and Teddy Bridgewater to take Gilbert and Manziel.

Browns suspend OL coach Andy Moeller

The Browns announced Monday afternoon that offensive line coach Andy Moeller has been suspended indefinitely after a weekend incident “involving allegations that we take very seriously,” per a team statement.

The entire statement, which was attributed to a team spokesman and not one specific person, read: “Browns offensive line coach Andy Moeller has been suspended indefinitely by the team effective immediately. Over the weekend, Andy was involved in an incident, involving allegations that we take very seriously. We have followed our internal protocol, determining that right now it is best for the team and for Andy to take time away from the organization to focus on his personal matters. We are going to respect the process of investigation on this personal matter and will have no further comment at this time.”

Moeller is in his second year with the Browns after holding the same position with the Ravens for six seasons. He was found guilty of DUI in 2011 after his third alcohol-related arrest in four years.

The Browns list veteran coach George DeLeone as an assistant offensive line coach, but the team statement did not mention how the team plans to handle Moeller’s duties.

That's just what a team needs. The Browns were already thin in the O-line. Their GM is suspended so the O-line coach would be the guy to ask who they should sign off the waiver wire or the veteran heap after week 1. But no, he's got a mystery suspension. I'll guess he got drunk and either drove or got into a fight. Maybe he went through the drive through drunk and naked like a former Lions coach did?

Seriously, our decade of darkness is actually starting to look good compared to the dumpster fire that has been Browns 2.0.

If you look back.   The Browns had a worse decade than the Bengals in the 90s.     They got a "get out of jail free" card with the  media when the team moved to Baltimore.

The team that moved to Baltimore sucked for a few years as it was rebuilt and surfaced at the beginning of the next decade.

The city of Cleveland is working on 3 decades of dumpster fires with the professional football team that has played there.

Perriman has now missed the last 10 practices but the Ravens seem to think this won't hurt him.  lol

He needs to work on catching the ball!  That was one of his weaknesses coming out of UCF.

Disclaimer:  Not that I care but it's pretty funny that the Ravens think this missed time won't hurt him.

An entire month later and he's still out and likely won't play week 1.  Poor ravens!  (Sarcasm) :)
