The singer and parodist was part of a plan to help a young Star Wars fan after she was bullied at school.

Eight-year-old Layla Murphy has a deep and passionate love for the sci-fi movies, but gave them up when girls at school began taunting and teasing her for her fandom, saying the films are only for boys. The ridicule got so bad, Layla even stopped wearing her Star Wars gear to school.

The singer and parodist was part of a plan to help a young Star Wars fan after she was bullied at school.

When  the charitable Star Wars costume group The 501st Legion heard about the fellow Jedi's story, they enlisted the help of mega-fans to share their own stories and messages of support to help her feel better. One super-fan in particular happened to be a celebrity: Weird Al.

Layla was given tickets to attend a concert put on by some members of The 501st Legion where she not only received a visit from Weird Al, but also got to take home her very own Stormtrooper suit—tailor-made for conquering the galaxy and any bullies who would try to interfere with that!

No evil Empire stands a chance.
