The Cincinnati Bengals resume the preseason at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday vs. the Chicago Bears at Paul Brown Stadium. Here's a couple things to watch for during the game:

Why watch: Backup Bengals quarterback AJ McCarron didn't feel he had a chance to show all the tools in his arsenal in the one half of work he received in Monday night's loss at Tampa Bay. With the Bengals trailing the entire game, the Buccaneers were in a constant prevent defense by the time McCarron came in, limiting him to throwing a series of underneath routes. If Andy Dalton's starting offense can leave McCarron's group with a lead Saturday, the backup should receive a more accurate test that will require him to use the whole field. With third-team quarterback Josh Johnson's release earlier this week, Cincinnati certainly will be giving McCarron his share of late-game reps.

Did you know? Dalton and his Pro Bowl receiver A.J. Green are the most productive QB-WR tandem through its first four seasons together in NFL history. Dalton and Green's 324 completions and 4,735 yards are the most any quarterback-receiver pair has had through the first four years it has played together. The 33 touchdowns Dalton and Green boast is tied for the most.
