|Montana Bengal|
So I've got a little nuc (headless - running Linux Mint as for a Media Server).Installed is a 30gb drive - basically just to boot off of and run the OS. I've got a spare 128gb drive I want to replace it with, but I don't really want to set up everything again.I can clone the drive with "dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb"Is there anything I'd need to do or can I just swap the drives? |Elflocko|
I would use Clonezilla so so you don't have to worry about grub issues...
|Montana Bengal|
Would I have too boot off live disc/thumb drive? The headless thing makes it a little problematic.

CincyInDC
Headless is great until you need a head. On my work computer I have a SATA hot-swappable bay, which has saved me a lot of time on such tasks. Of course I never use work equipment to perform personal tasks. |Montana Bengal|
That would be very nice. I will probably just bring it with me to work one day this week and copy it. I don't 'have' to upgrade, but since the drive isn't being used it is a bad idea.
